Hello all, This is Josh from Crescent Moon Games. Today we announced our game Ravensword: The Fallen King that we have been quietly working on. It was developed for the most part by Russ Menapace of Human Powered Games, and me (Josh Presseisen, Crescent Moon Games) We contracted out some of the pieces, such as character models and some of the animations. The concept art was made by David Chow. The pictures shown below are quite old - the HUD has changed. The game was resubmitted on Thursday the 12th, and should be available on the App store soon. The game has about 6-8 hours of game play, sidequests, games etc. Its an action/adventure game with RPG elements, like a mix of Oblivion, Morrowind, Zelda, Gothic - scaled down to fit onto your iPhone. You'll be able to play it on all phones - but it plays best on the 3GS. There will be an expansion pack after the first adventure: Ravensword: The Fallen King, which will include more areas to explore, more items, improvements, quests, etc. The price for the game will be $6.99. At this time we are not sure the price of the expansion pack. The Story: You were found in the woods at the edge of the town by a woodsman. He brought you to Beatrice, who is the closest thing to a Doctor in Aven Town. You must go out and learn how to fight, perform quests, find items, and finally defeat the evil Demon lord, who has cast a spell upon Ravengard, which is North of town. Good luck in your adventures! -Josh twitter: http://www.twitter.com/ravensword_rpg The website is www.ravensword.com Controls and settings vid [hqyoutube]6TxsPIUvy24[/hqyoutube] Beta build video - old controls [hqyoutube]L0_hFHyXE7k[/hqyoutube]
wow, looks great! I'm really curious to see gameplay videos. How will the controls work? It looks like they're sort of like the resident evil mobile controls- with a virtual stick and then buttons to switch into & out of an "aiming/combat" type mode. will there be multiple control styles? can't wait to hear more! looks like there's a bug in the inventory screen with the 'eat' button, and does it say "a meal in every meal"? edit: also, does the hero have a combover?
Controls are similar to most of the other 3d games, Hero of Sparta and Assasin's Creed. The big difference with our game is that is has tilt look up and down, and it has First Person Mode. Theres also a recalibrate button right at the top right just in case you change positions while playing (standing or sitting)
looks like it might just be scrolling navigation and its halfway between a scroll but will armor be visible or will it be just stat boosts?
Instant purchase for me based on the screenshots alone. This is looking and sounding waaaaay better than Zenonia!
Forget the idea on price!!!! Do you and the team have any idea on release date? If not how far along would you say the game is complete 1-100%? Thanks, radchad1
It should work really well on a 2nd gen.... I've been testing it on my first gen. It's a bit slow in places, but always playable.
Wow any approximation of Release Date? or anything? I know it is early but the game just looks so awesome.
I know someone guarantee ask that... also I want to keep my hyper emotion til the end of day... usually game like that big, will take yr to yr to develop, so dont expected soon but around x'mas time ...if you get lucky...
