Food Run is a level-based platform game for iOS. Instead of a single character, you control a little troop of food characters known as a "food chain". Here's how it works. As you lead your hero through the levels, you can release food buddies from floating bubbles. One by one, these join your food chain, following closely behind the leader. The longer your food chain, the more you're going to have to keep an eye on it, as enemies can take out your food chain as well as the leader... Of course, you can get your own back, by stomping on their heads. New video Hi guys, I'm currently working on some fun little gizmos for the levels. Here's the latest development video: - Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Full details and explanation here.
I thought I wasn't going to like this game until I saw the popcorn following the egg, then I was like this is actually pretty cute/cool. I like the fact that they follow each other around. The game also looks very clean and polished. It would actually be pretty cool if you turned those test levels into a sort of puzzler. Nonetheless, this game looks nice, so I'm going to keep track of it!
This looks remarkable, especially for an early build - polished indeed! I'm looking forward to seeing more as it comes along.
Announcement - "Kevin Ng Games" is no more! But don't worry, I've just got a proper name. So Food Run will be released under my new name, "Pixels on Toast". See the new website here. I'll be having a competition on the Facebook page soon to win some goodies, including some Pixels on Toast merchandise. Nom nom.
That's a much better name for an indie game studio. And apparently the game has wall jumps in addition to riding the barber poles. http://bookofthedev.com/post/12031055311/wall-jumps-are-go
This game looks great! Can't wait to try this game.! Do you already know when we can sign up for the beta? Keep up the great work! Greets
I want to know that too, visited their website and found nothing... this game looks awesome, reminds me of Zool cause the candy canes...
Beta will be coming at some stage, but it's a bit early yet. Will make sure to give people on this forum lots of spaces in the Beta program. I have lots more to put in the game, will keep you up to date on how it's coming along here (and on the blog as someone linked above). Kevin (Pixels on Toast)
Take as much time as you need. I understand it's a bit early now! Thanks for keeping us up to date! Greets
Hey hey TA people, Thanks for all the kind messages and support, it really helps for motivation to get this thing finished and as good as I want it to be. Just a quick note to say that the competition I was talking about has gone live - it costs nothing to enter and you can win either a blue or orange iPod shuffle (to match the blue and orange pixels in the new company logo), some Pixels on Toast mugs and Pixels on Toast fridge magnets! It does involve going to the Pixels on Toast Facebook page and liking it, so apologies if you're not a Facebook user. Here's the page with all the details: - http://facebook.com/pixelsontoast There aren't that many entries at the moment, so it's a great chance to win! Good luck!
Oh, and if any moderators are reading this, I'd absolutely kill to be able to change my user name to pixelsontoast! Cheers.
Video 3 is now up, showing the wall jumps in a video for the first time, plus hidden areas and spikes. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel More info in the blog post!
