I recently updated my iPod touch because there was a jailbreak for it that came on Monday. But every time I sync my iPod touch with my computer it doesn't back up the apps because it says that it found an error so my iPod can't back up. So now I updated my iPod & it had to be restored, it restored successfully & downloaded the 4.2 firmware but if it trys to update my iPod touch it finds an error, now my iPod touch is stuck in DFU & can't turn on. I need help, really bad.

Try plugging it in and then throwing it into DFU mode manually, that should let it be updated. If not, I'm not sure what the problem could be, this never happened to me.

Also, not exactly your issue but it might help

Have you tried putting it in the dishwasher?

    ??????

Anyways, maybe just hold the sleep and home button down. If that doesn't work, plug it into your other USB slot (once, my computer wouldn't detect my ipod for some reason, so i plugged it into the other slot and boom, worked.) Just a guess.

If all fails, just contact apple support.
