For me, it's not even close, the best game of the year so far, and probably my favorite ipod touch game so far is.......... TILT TO LIVE. For those of you who haven't heard of it yet, it is reminiscent of geometry wars in a way. You control a little white cursor similar to your mouse and using the tilt feature navigate through swarms of red dots. The goal being to get power ups and destroy as many dots and get as many combos as possible. This game has it all, an awesome and precise control scheme, great graphics, great sound effects, and addictive as hell game play. I don't sit on these forums suggesting too many games but this one is essential. Do the rest of you feel the same way!?
Plants vs Zombies and GTA are both quality games, but they are both ports that were done better on other consoles.
wow. how many of these threads do we need! this is one of those threads where nobody reads what other people say but everyone comments on it thinking that everyone else cares what they think... which they dont. but anyway, i will imput battle blasters eco punk space miner colorbind thumpies spirit parachute ninja sword and poker broken sword pvz thumpies wireway
It's a pretty tough choice for me... It's between GTA or Broken Sword, 2 games I really, REALLY like. They both have their positives and very few negatives, so I'll just put them both up as my picks. HONORABLE MENTIONS: An Assassin in Orlandes Transformers G1 BIA2 N.Y.Z. (it's almost out. And it's going to be out in 2010 so it counts.) Plants vs. Zombies Necromancer Rising (or did that come out in December... I forget) Space Miner
Somerandomdude, is Transformers G1 really worth checking out? I've seen that it has gotten some above average reviews but am still skeptical.
Ragdoll Blaster 2, Red Conquest will rule my ipad (one month late in uk- thanks Apple) G.T. Racing (very robust game on my 3rd gen touch) Cogs. All great games I.M.H.O.
Consolidated List so far So not everyone agrees but I didn't expect you too. The consensus so far is that the best games of the year as of early March are: Plants Vs. Zombies GTA:CW Space Miner Other than Space Miner, which I haven't tried yet, I had already played PvZ for PC and GTA:CW on my PSP, so for me they weren't necessarily considered. That isn't to say that they aren't classic games. But on the other hand, Tilt to Live has been a fantastic surprise. I could play it all day (and I just might )
How does G.T Racing compare to NFS: Shift and Real Racing. Does it really distinguish itself enough to get. I'm not a hardcore racer. I got ragdoll blaster 2 as well. It's on my game backlog though...
I still think Real Racing is the best of the bunch if you're looking for a sim, and Raging Thunder 2 is the best arcade. NFS:S is akwardly caught in the middle of arcade of sim and GT's physics don't feel right to me and the load times are awful
