Hey guys! So for the last few months, I've been working on my new game Instant Hero with a few pals - a team that includes legendary pixel artist Army of Trolls, superstar programmer Carleton Handley and ace musician Pixelee. It's sort of a cross between a traditional RPG and Peggle, and we think it's pretty cool. There's even jokes in it and everything. We're just looking for 10 or so people with iOS devices (iOS 6.0+) to try it out for bugs and feedback before we submit it to the App Store. If you'd like to try it out, and give us some feedback, we'd really appreciate it. If you post below, with your device and iOS version and we'll pick a few out to test it. Don't worry if you've got an older device, we want to test it across a range. We'll try and sort out something cool for anyone who takes part. Meanwhile, here's a few images and a rough cut of the trailer to give you a better look at the game. sometimes i just feel i need better luck to play this game. i haven't try the newer version, but from the older one here is some suggestion: - could explain more in tutorial about accessories/ equipment like the hat, sword? - i have passed the 5th stage, and dead on the 6th stage. the 'continue' feature feels like a consumable IAP. in my opinion if you add IAP you should add clearer information about that too - the swipe down to slow down character's walk doesn't work or probably it just my feeling
The hats are purely cosmetic, so not really much to explain there. The sword just protects you for one hit. We were quite conscious about not putting too much into the tutorial in case we overwhelmed people. Will definitely think about other ways we can get this information across though, thanks. It is a consumable IAP, like arcade credits. What more info should we give do you think? I agree with you about the slow down feature, it's a bit TOO subtle in my opinion. We've made some quite big improvements and changes with the new build, be interested to know what you think. Did you enjoy playing it incidentally?
I'm loving this game, really a good way to pass the time. I'm sad the update made the dragon harder to slay but i'm sticking with it
Ah really glad you're enjoying it! It's actually easier than it looks but maybe we should make it a little less intimidating the first time round?
