If there is a thread that answers this query, I apologize. Please point me to it. It almost feels wrong asking a bunch of strangers if spending $0.99 is worth it, but I have recently found myself interested in the top down shooter genre. I picked up isotope yesterday for $0.99. Is that the best of this genre (and hence the need to look no further) or would you also recommend Nano Fighter! and/or circuit_strike.one and/or GeoFighter Light Wars? Am I missing any? I know Dropship is not a top down shooter, but are there any other apps like it?
I have all of the ones you mentioned, Isotope to me is the best one, but I'm still happy to have so many choices. I'd look into Occurro! as well and the upcoming Meteor Blitz.
Yes, 2079 is a great game, it's a lot like the classic Geometry Wars. Also, you should post thread like this in the "Games discussion" category from now on.
Yes, i missed the part where he stated the specific part of the games at first. Rips off L4D, [Prototype], and somewhat RE. Nonetheless, i'm still excited about it. And i think the Blue games along with the Geo games are the best bet for this type of thing in Geometry wars territory, but i don't have much experience with the other ones that have been mentioned.
Oh yeah I guess it kinda "takes inspiration" from those games I'm a bit excited, not that much though. Anyways I won't stray from the topic anymore. ON TOPIC: Meteor Blitz should be out soon, it was submitted a few days ago.
Yes isotope is the best, but cs.one comes in a close second. Any other game is crap compared to those two.
