Why is this in the IPhone section?. It's an IPAD game.. Iphone is wayyyyy to tiny Universal or not...
Wow A nice surprise! We've got a working interface for the iphone, and almost functional battle. One butt-hurt moment that you all remember from PK1 & PK2 was battle hexes. They are now bigger, easy and pleasant to tap. Vertical iphone interface is sooo nice!
Hey Jim, any updates on the progress of Palm Kingdoms 3? Excitement levels are high as the old school HOMM type games are amazing. As is Palm Kingdoms 2
PK3 likely still is coming soon-ish. I think the developer announced another intermediate title to come first but will have to research the thread. Edit: That game is Battle Horn, "tactical tower defense." Here's the upcoming thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=193107
We've got an alpha version stage right now... it's big, give it some time. It's 10X more work than PK2. I'll show some sneak peeks soon.
Ideas Devs, Love the game so thanks for the new efforts here. Are you going to address some of the mechanics? Some key changes would be - ghosts are overpowered and ruin the game. Make them grow by only 25% as much as they do. - diplomacy is overpowered. Make it allow to join only 50% of the army - expert magic is overpowered in some cases. Thinking about slow, for example. - ai tweak to make the computer more desperately want to get all def/att upgrades (fort, forge, library, etc.) - sorcery is underpowered - add more benefits to digging... Not sure whythis is almost a useless feature - the bow artifact that lets you shoot from any range is overpowered... Needs to be at a reduced penalty not no penalty Anyway. Thanks for reading.
It's typical for developers to under-estimate completion time for their games or get carried away with enthusiatic teaser promises. I am sure we will see Palm Kingdoms 3 eventually and it will be worth the wait. It's routine to see projects announced in Upcoming Games then expected release stretch on and on... like Minigore 2, Indigo Lake, Wayward (Mage Gauntlet spin-off), Sword of Fargoal 2, Forgotten Memories, etc etc etc...
That screenshot is from an iphone right ? Did you decided to make the game in portrait mode or just the character screen ?
