Lowest amount of dolls will not equal highest score my high score on one level I just did used 3 dolls where my 2 doll shot was alot less
@Backflip Studios: Would be great to offer an option for an alternative aiming mode where I can move the reticule by moving my finger anywhere on the screen. That's because on the iPhone it's quite hard to target an exact spot when my finger is always in the way. Edit: Suggestion: Maybe if you use a second finger and then stop touching the screen with the first finger, you can move the reticule with the second finger.
Yeah I havea couple of levels where more dolls = more points. 3.16 is excellent example. 1 doll = 12k 2 dolls = 15k I don't think I'm spoiling too much on that level.
Scoring As you know the scoring in Ragdoll 3 is very different from Ragdoll 1 and 2. It depends on the number of dolls, the number of buttons, and the time. Below is a breakdown of the scoring for level 1-4 (I leave the other levels to you). The score for any level is calculated as: Score = f1(D)+f2(B)+f3(T), where f1, f2, and f3 are the functions that decides the score for dolls (D), buttons (B), and time (T), respectively. Note that the time reported after finishing a level is not in seconds. T=18 is around 14 seconds, and T=62 is around 50 seconds. For example, the three functions for level 1-4 are (approximately): f1(D)=13500-1000*D f2(B)=100*B f3(T)= 1930-110*T The total score for level 1-4 can therefore be calculated as: Score = 15430-1000*D+100*B-110*T Unfortunately, the time resolution shown is only integers, but the time used in the score calculations has much higher resolution. I think the time resolution is in the order of around 0.01 seconds. To make it more complicated, f1 (the dependency on the number of dolls) is not always linear. On other levels, 1 doll difference is not always constant and/or not always 1000. In level 1-4, one time unit is worth 110 points. However, for other levels this can differ a lot. Example 1: D=1, B=4, and T=11, on level 1-4 gives Score = 13620. However, if you get T=11, the actual time can be between T=10.5 and T=11.5. This means that if you get D=1, B=4, and T=11 after finishing level 1-4 your score is between 13565 and 13675. Example 2: D=2, B=8, and T=6, on level 1-4 gives a score between 13515 and 13625. In other words, if your score is 13600 on level 1-4, you either had {D=1, B=4, and T=11.18}, or {D=2, B=8, and T=5.73}, or some other combination. How many dolls did you use in level 1-4?
Thought of asking in the main thread but maybe (probably) you guys know instead - where do you find the par of rag dolls used for either the level or the world? Edit: Found the level one under the "i" button but is there one per world? Or an easier way to see your totals per level per world so I don't have to replay each one, only the ones where I went over the goal?
Wow...completely blown away by all these scores and creative level solutions you guys are posting! I don't think I stand a chance of competing at this point...but we'll see. Keep up the great work!
jkashrguih4rbnojo;4gbi damn sorry, had to clean the keyboard after reading that I know the following will not be the best by any stretch but here are my first 4 room scores: LD Version Levels: 1:1 - 10340 (1 doll) 1:2 - 12828 (1 doll) 1:3 - 10342 (1 doll) 1:4 - 13651 (1 doll) HD Version Levels: 1:1 - 10340 (1 doll) 1:2 - 12833 (1 doll) 1:3 - 10348 (1 doll) 1:4 - 13657 (1 doll) (I am not getting time to play on iPad as much as I would like - def easier to play there)
I cant see any way to see time/buttons after the fact i.e. going back to a level to find out what/how you did. sure you can press the "i" button and that seems to default it so after each level you will see the information breakdown you left selected *i.e. dolls/buttons/time/points *OR* dolls/buttons/points only) It is difficult to quickly see where you can do better but i guess that's true regardless of the scoring mechanism. I generally just take a little note (did that with RB2 as well)
@Phantom X you should keep a total for both LD and HD on first post (please) as this thread doesn't seem dedicated to one or the other (yet)
This sounds like a news question but surely as the developer you know or have a simulator that's tells you the best spots/ solutions. Or are you saying that some levels you designs to be 2 ragdolls(a an example) have been a surprise when we have found ways in one? ALSo in next update could you include a total dolls score somewhere instead of us having to add each level separate ? Great game by the way. I have to be honest I download free versions of all games first to try. I downloaded the iPhone version and as you see a few posts back I have since paid for the HD VERSION as you definitely deserve my 1.99. Hope you take this as a positive instead of all ganging up on me for trying before I buy.
My 2c: They do not know what is possible (and I'm glad). I'll also put money on it that they get shocked when they see their graft and toil desigining a "7 doll" level getting blown away in a single doll.
Our primary goal when designing a level is to make something fun and interesting that our fans will enjoy. Then we factor in the most likely solution for the level, which leaves some room for awesome fans like yourselves to totally turn around and crush with super creative/interesting/lucky shots! It's actually a lot of fun for us to see what new ways people will come up with to solve a level! We're constantly reading through fan feedback and thinking of different ways to improve the game. We obviously can't guarantee anything but we do appreciate all the suggestions and feedback. Thank you very much for the support and we're thrilled to hear you're enjoying the game!
Wahooooooooooooo sorry but I just spent 3 days trying 1-12 in one and finally did it !! Who got better than 13879? Yippee Kaye
Can you give a hint as to how to get the one shot on 1-12? I've been racking my brain on getting that one, and the 2 on Plankies.
