How much do you think it's worth?

    Hello

I was making iOS games for some time, but it didn't go well for me, so now I am making free to play multiplayer browser games. You can play my first game here: http://www.ball3d.com

The thing is that I have some games that are on the App Store, but they generate only 1-4 sales a day. In my opinion the best way to make them earn more money is to make them free to play with micropayments, but I am now doing browser games, so I won't try this for now. Also since these games are made in Unity 3D (except one game), it's possible to monetize them in various ways (iOS, Android, Flash, PC, Mac, UnityWebPlayer, PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii).

I am thinking (only thinking, I haven't decided yet) about selling these games to someone else. How much do you think are these games worth (if anything)?

You can see the list here: http://appshopper.com/search/?search=unusualsoft

I will tell you something more about all the games:

TRITRI HD and Addicting Atritria (free and full version)
    http://appshopper.com/games/tritri
    http://appshopper.com/games/tritri-hd
It's the same game but one version is for iPhone/iPod the other one is for iPad. I made this game in Cocos2D and Box2D (for physics). It's hard to find any other game like that.
You can also see the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnAKEkTubik
This version works on all iOS devices, you can play smoothly even on the oldest ones.

    Anoix 3D and Anoix HD
    http://appshopper.com/games/anoix-3d
    http://appshopper.com/games/anoix-hd
    Trailer from beta version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGK2pUIydtQ
This game is an unusual Breakout/Arkanoid variation. I was not able to find any game similar to this one. It's fun to play (especially on iPod/iPod). On the iPad it's fun, but I would change the control a little, if you will play you will know what I mean. Anoix 3D has 84 levels and it's easy to make new one in the Unity3D editor (easy and powerful editor, you can create amazing levels).
This game was made in Unity 3D, it means that it should work on iOS (it works pretty well even on the oldest devices), Android, PC, Mac, Flash, Unity Web Plugin, and also on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii (all the platforms that Unity supports: http://unity3d.com/unity/publishing/).

Bend the Snake and Bend the Snake HD
    http://appshopper.com/entertainment/bend-the-snake
    http://appshopper.com/entertainment/bend-the-snake-hd
Fun variation about snake games. You have to use one finger to play this game.

Atomic Reflex and Atomic Reflex HD
    http://appshopper.com/entertainment/atomic-reflex
    http://appshopper.com/entertainment/atomic-reflex-hd
Test your reflex :) It's a simple and fun game. Try to survive as long as you can.

    Calculator 2+2=4 and Doodle Calculator

    http://appshopper.com/utilities/calculator-224
    http://appshopper.com/utilities/doodle-calculator-3
This calculator looks nice and is useful, you have all kind of mathematical operations.
This app was made in Unity 3D, it means that it should work on iOS (it works pretty well even on the oldest devices), Android, PC, Mac, Flash, Unity Web Plugin, and also on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii (all the platforms that Unity supports: http://unity3d.com/unity/publishing/).

    Burning Camera

    http://appshopper.com/entertainment/burning-camera
It lets you burn the world in the real time :) I decided to make it free, because there is no button to make a picture and people wanted it (you can make a screenshot but many people don't know about it). Most people like the burning feature though.
This app was made in Unity 3D, it means that it should work on iOS, Android, PC, Mac, Flash, Unity Web Plugin, and also on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii (all the platforms that Unity supports: http://unity3d.com/unity/publishing/).

So what is your opinion, are these apps worth anything? If so, how much? I would also like to know where is the right place to find some people who may buy it?

    Thank you for any answers.

I think it could be rather hard finding somebody who'd be willing to buy the code base. There doesn't come a lot of stuff with them to make it worthwhile.

The first game (Tritri) is a match of three and from a dev standpoint basically looks like a simple extension to the cocos2d box2D template where you get squares falling down already pregenerated. Add some more shapes, a contactlistener and there you are. It looks like something that every dev could create on his own rather quickly, if he wanted it. There ain't a whole lot to salvage from that project.

Anoix looks nice but I see a problem with target audience. Hardcore gamers don't play Arkanoid, casual gamers might be scared off by the 3D controls (it looks rather difficult in the video). Not sure someone would try to turn that into another game or salvage something from it. There's not any art to salvage or any algorithms that sound useful and could be reused elsewhere.

Bend the Snake and Atomic Reflex you get no clue about just by looking at the description. This may explain low sales and may also not really help when trying to sell the code.

Unless I missed something, the Calculator is a toy more than anything else. Who wants annoying backgrounds when they're trying to do some math? There's a lot of professional calculators out there and Unity is maybe not the perfect platform to make one. Compare it to other professional calculators like https://itunes.apple.com/app/taschenrechner-sc-323pu/id301290196?mt=8 and it will be rather difficult to sell yours in the highly competitive calculator market.

Burning Camera, here somebody might be interesting in the algorithm or something to salvage in another project. Pretty much the only project where I guess you could have a chance to find a buyerm, if you are lucky.

Anyway, good luck with your plans and your future browser projects.

    Hey Mariusz,

I agree that the revenue model for games is in making them freemium. If this is what you want to try, why are you making browser games? Wouldn't it be better for you to revisit some of your App Store games, and see how you can re-design the most engaging one you have to turn it into a freemium game? Maybe you can give it a big makeover and release it as a brand new title.

I think from the games you have, Annoix seems to have a lot of potential a Blitz style game: 1-3 minute sessions, try to beat your high-score, purchase consumable power-ups. Look at games like Super Monsters Ate My Condo for some great design tips.

Well, I have spent a lot of time on Ball 3D, I have over 1000 unique visitors per day, the game is even on the www.esl.eu site. I have some nice ideas how to monetize the game and make it more popular (I am implementing them as we speak). It looks like things will go well, that's why I want to focus on it.

And I think that 3D multiplayer browser games market is much less over-saturated than App Store.

Cool! Do you have an idea on how well it retains? Do you have standard KPI's like 2-Day, 7-Day, and 21-Day retention? DAU/MAU? These will really help optimize your monetization strategy.

For now I only have google analytics. I don't have account registration yet so it would be hard to keep track of statistics like that, but I am going to implement it when I will have account registration.
