Some of them are good. This selection is more like flavour of the month though, than game of the year. Most of this years releases that shook the apple platform are missing...
I'm pretty surprised that TWD is doing so well... I first had TWD E.1 on my PC, and loved it - but then it came out for iOS, and I got it for my iPad as well... but couldn't get with it. The cut-down visuals and easy only mode caused me to return to my PC version for the rest of the episodes. Granted, it's still a great game, and one that everyone should experience - but that everyone should experience on any other platform if they have the option... but after playing the game on PC and experiencing the differences, it's just strange to me that it's sitting at 2nd place ATM... =o/ Oh well... I still need to get into Ravensword. I bought it, but don't really have the space on my iPad to play it just yet. I also reinstalled the original Ravensword about a month ago (around the time it went free) - so that I could play through it again, except for this time, try to complete it, before getting into the second one. I hate not having the first game in a series fresh in my head when jumping into sequels. Just a thing with me... Anyway... I guess the voting has gone as I thought it would judging by talk in the respective game threads', and I didn't ever expect myself to agree with any of it because of my own personal tendency to lean towards the more obscure and not-so-popular titles.... Oh well... don't even know why I posted any of this... just bored I guess...
You should really download Bastion again! I agree it's slow to start up but further on the story will take some turns in ways you never expected. Gameplay's above average, but not really the selling point. You've got to finish it, for the fantastic story and ending!
TBH the AppSpy review was bull. Yes, there are some bugs in the game, but in case you didn't know, an update came out a couple of days ago that fixed the bugs. Furthermore, the devs are really active on these forums, and they try to help out. Personally I voted for MC4 because even though many other games on the list are excellent, I see myself getting more playing time in Modern Combat 4 than any of the other games. EG I completed a NG on Bastion and fully upgraded all of the weapons with all of the archive to completed, however that was all under 20 hours compared to the 200+ hours I will proabably get out of Modern Combat 4.
there is a cs like game itunes:https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/critical-missions-swat/id529808425?mt=8 android:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.StudioOnMars.CSPortable&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5TdHVkaW9Pbk1hcnMuQ1NQb3J0YWJsZSJd
I agree that the first level was a bit... meh... but it definitely picks up after that, especially in the real core of the game - it's a freak'n blast.
Bastion just pulled ahead of TWD. It's now in third place. This is inconceivable. Pestilence and plague on the lot of ye.
Yes. What he said. The only reason I would consider TWD not GOTY would be that it isn't iOS original. But other than that there's no reason why anything should beat it.
TWD is a good game, how many of you can say you were touched by the story of any other game that was on iOS? I bet none of you can say any other game-if you haven't played the game yet-get it on your iOS device,PC,or console. It's laggy on iPod 4 (of course) but should run decent on alot of other devices. My iPod 5 runs it just great. And the game isn't changed too much from the console/PC versions. (Parts where you need to use the movement keys to back away from dangerous walkers or sneaking into places are done automatically though). But the entire game is still there,I can't recommend the game anymore then I am right now
Incoboto - touched me Gene Effect - spoke to me Fantasy Chronicle - touched me ... Sounds kinda pervy, but it's true.
