Is this mechanic new or did someone else see this somewhere please post it here. The game mechanics slightly remind me of splitter gritters where you also need to manipulate the backgrounds. Is there a reason why I need two moves, click and slide, to go to the other screen? Would be nice if level high scores were shown. sguest Member Mar 30, 2015 9 0 0 Founder/Developer http://www.planetflipgame.com #6 sguest, Mar 25, 2017 Hi, I'm Steve from Scheming Cat Software and thanks for the feedback! I think I did try that in the early days of prototyping. The problem was it was easy to mis-tap on the screen when Bob was moving quite fast, meaning you ended up swapping planet instead of teleporting him, which was really annoying! Having a separate swipe gesture meant fewer cases of accidentally doing the wrong thing. Could you find a way to show level high scores in the game? sguest Member Mar 30, 2015 9 0 0 Founder/Developer http://www.planetflipgame.com #8 sguest, Mar 26, 2017 Thanks for the nice words, Cowboy.Henk. Just to clarify, do you mean you'd like to see your personal best score so far for a given level? Or am I misinterpreting what you mean? I like to replay levels and see if I can improve my scores. sguest Member Mar 30, 2015 9 0 0 Founder/Developer http://www.planetflipgame.com #10 sguest, Mar 28, 2017 Fair call. I'll consider that for an update. paulkane Well-Known Member Sep 6, 2012 1,102 0 36 Library automaton Denver #11 paulkane, Mar 29, 2017 Thanks again for the code. I played the first 5 levels of world 1. I like the teleporting mechanic. I haven't played a physics puzzler in awhile, but I can see the level difficulty ramping up with the combination of different environments in each world and the overall design. Cowboy.Henk Well-Known Member Oct 13, 2012 834 17 18 Male NL #12 Cowboy.Henk, Mar 30, 2017 Great game, solved all levels. All with 3 stars except the bonus lvl of world 4. Also still miss 1 hidden achievement of 50 pts. Any hints? sguest Member Mar 30, 2015 9 0 0 Founder/Developer http://www.planetflipgame.com #13 sguest, Apr 1, 2017 Great to hear you got to the end! Regarding that achievement: it follows a pattern with similar achievements just before it. Granted, there aren't so many opportunities for this one, and maybe I should have reduced the number involved a bit! saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #14 saosijs, May 2, 2017 Good game! I too like to be able to see individual level high scores. Like at the end of a level play and in the pause menu, and perhaps in the level selection screen where the high scores show in small font for example. saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #15 saosijs, May 6, 2017 I'm not sure of this, but I think I saw some funny behavior after I had first made a good score with two stars. Then after that, I finished with 3 stars but with a lower score (I was slower). The funny thing is that the finish screen said I had a better score. Maybe it has to do with how the score and stars are checked algorithmically? sguest Member Mar 30, 2015 9 0 0 Founder/Developer http://www.planetflipgame.com #16 sguest, May 7, 2017 Thanks for the feedback, saosijs. Do you happen to remember which level that was? The score is indeed based on a combination of time and how many stars you collect. Maybe the balance is a bit off on that particular level. Cowboy.Henk Well-Known Member Oct 13, 2012 834 17 18 Male NL #17 Cowboy.Henk, May 15, 2017 Hi Steve, it happens on all levels. If you first reach a highscore of, say 10,000, with 1 star and then a score of, say 3,000, with an improved number of stars, then it says it is a new highscore... Cowboy.Henk Well-Known Member Oct 13, 2012 834 17 18 Male NL #18 Cowboy.Henk, May 15, 2017 Any chance on an update with high scores displayed? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
