The people making these dumb petitions are all idiots. What a waste of time. It's also hilarious that people feel the need to talk about DareDevil which was made 10 years ago. 1)He has grown tremendously as an actor 2)People need to realize that if a film sucks, it's not always the actors fault. It's the people that produced/directed the movie and actors can only do so much 3)Comic book fanboys are the worst. I have read comics for a long time, but I'm not going to judge someone's ability to play Batman before there is even a trailer out.
I know these petitions are terrible. Again look at the uproar when Tarantino said John Travolta was to play the lead role in Pulp Fiction ! Look how that turned out
Don't get me wrong... I like me some Batman. This is ridiculous though. If you don't like Ben Affleck, don't see the movie. Life will go on.
Petition or No Petition What I think is ridiculous is the movie exist in the first place. Didn't we just have a very successful Batman trilogy? One in many peoples opinion topped all previous attempts? (Except for maybe the first 2) It's almost a slap in the face to Christian Bale and Heath Ledgers (RIP) amazing attempts and performances. I guess we shouldn't expect anything less.
I'd like to point out that there was a lot of complaining when they announced Heath Ledger back before that movie came out. It was very similar to this with Ben Affleck. That film turned out to arguably be the best one in the trilogy. We should really wait to see how this turns out before we all freak out. Even then, this isn't a regular Batman movie, per se. This is Superman with Batman in it.

Sentiment of the original was fine. The language was borderline -- keep in mind that this is a PG rated forum, for better or worse. BTW, for those not keeping track of entertainment news, the new Batman would be appearing on the next Superman movie (and, I suppose, upcoming Batman sequels), not in a reboot. If they were successful with the petition, who would replace Ben, who would you pick? Obviously you got to rule out previous actors who played Batman.
