I've never played it before though, so I'm on the fence. I do wonder if you can create and edit players, and make extensive roster moves. This could be somewhat less important than it would be in a game with "real" players, perhaps. Back in the 90's on the Amiga/Atari ST (16 bit computers) it was just a great polished playable game. Its a bit like a futuristic sport in the film Rollerball ? Basically guys skating on ice but with 'american football' style pads on and can basically beat each other up. They carry the ball, can throw (pass) it to each other, pick up coins to get better armour etc/players and other power ups (eg freeze the other team players), you can beat up another player, injure them so bad they have to get carted off Throw the ball in the opposing teams goal, its very simple. The great graphics, little bits (like the guy shouting 'ice cream ice cream!' just makes it an excellent game. Best of all its so playable I loved this game back in the 90's so cant wait to play it over and over on my ipod touch. I guess there is little hope, but I still will hope for this: online multiplayer. It would be an absolute dream for all those of us who used to play Speedball 2 on our Amigas, wishing there was some way we could challenge players across the world... Also, here's to the hope other classics will find their way onto our iOS devices. Stuff such as The Chaos Engine (same developer as Speedball 2) and Brutal Sports Football. The premise of the game: a very brutal mesh of handball, rugby and american football. Throw the ball into the other team's goal, but don't forget to leave a few unconscious bodies behind while yer at it. There is also season/career modes, with different teams and players, at least reasonably extensive player customization, and a player market, bestowing quite a lot of persistence and staying power upon the gameplay. steviebwoy Well-Known Member Feb 17, 2011 735 0 16 e-Systems Analyst Cornwall, UK #15 steviebwoy, Feb 23, 2011 Is this available in the UK yet?
