Luxor went free before and everyone downloaded it so they could kill its ratings. Jibba Well-Known Member Aug 18, 2009 2,886 0 0 #7 Jibba, Nov 20, 2012 MumboJumbo goes around suing everyone with a similar game. They pushed StoneLoops off the app store and also sued Popcap about the Zuma games. Popcap eventually won (I believe) it's battle with MumboJumbo but I don't think StoneLoops ever made it back to the App Store. How do people compare this to Zuma and other clones like Sparkle? I used to have another clone, something like Atlantis, on my iPhone but deleted it awhile back. I'll probably pick up Luxor but don't feel like this is a company I want to support. mrbiggles Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2012 3,691 0 0 Like retired USA #8 mrbiggles, Nov 20, 2012 wow that sucks... there are way to many of these games anyways, probably something better like it with much better grafx and complex. Filing Cabinet Well-Known Member Aug 20, 2011 997 0 16 #11 Filing Cabinet, Nov 20, 2012 I am already very annoyed at MumboJumbo for what they did to Glowfish (inserted ads into a paid game without an option to remove them) Since they seem to be doing this with every paid game of theirs I don't even want to bother with this company. Did Luxor come before Zuma? I always thought PopCap's was the original. I remember playing the hell out of it on my old Sony Ericsson Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #12 Gabrien, Nov 20, 2012 Not to mention their ridiculous pricing strategies of late, such as releasing an app at $6 then incrementally dropping the price every few hours. I have defended this company in the past, and it can't be argued they have released some quality titles, but of late they are behaving in a way which demonstrates zero regard for the marketplace, their customers, or any sort of long term good will building. In fact, very much like a company who are trying to salvage what they can before going out of business. Jibba Well-Known Member Aug 18, 2009 2,886 0 0 #14 Jibba, Nov 20, 2012 Zuma came before Luxor and other similar games, such as Tumblebugs, Sparkle, etc. Zuma, however, is arguably a better version of Puzz Loop, which was released in 1998 (and re-released a few years ago as Magnetica).
