Guise Well-Known Member Jul 10, 2009 2,027 13 38 #4 Guise, Dec 11, 2015 I've only played a bit but first impressions are positive. It's a pretty basic shooter with decent relative touch controls (though no control options). The Minter influence is heavy and immediately apparent--imagine the iOS Gridrunner in space with toned-down graphics. Definitely worthwhile for shmup/Minter fans. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,045 623 113 #5 anthony78, Dec 11, 2015 Being 8-bit makes it not intriguing? You pixel racist. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,286 1 38 #6 LordShad0wz, Dec 11, 2015 This is up my alley but I've spent so much this week lol. If anyone plays I'd certainly love full gameplay and progression impressions and or a gameplay video. There are lots of similar games to this and I love it. Retro type games. Loving this kind of games is racist? Or commenting a questions "an 8-bit game?" makes me a pixel racist? I haven't played a ton but enjoyed its basic retro style. My first post here, first of all thanks for Retro Axios been noticed. Thank you it makes me happy, and humble. I'm a big Minter fan since C64. Would loved to make a video, but my computer can't keep up. It's simply too old. Ahhh ZX Spectrum nice color palette on that computer. Thanks for your support, hope the hangover is over All the best Mikael slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 5 36 #13 slamraman, Dec 14, 2015 yep, like it but haven't played too much as loads of kids stuff to catch up on, but I'd love a pause button (unless I just can't find it!) and sensitivity that is just more than 1:1. Only 2 waves in and not sure of variation yet, but it's 69p and it has old fashioned proper arcade stylings and a minter vibe with a mix of galaxians, asteroids and space invaders - hoping for some centipede and more later. Good work - could do with being Universal though - am I right in saying it was iPhone only? or was that my hangover? Just picked up Gladiex and Fly Clarke, Fly! too. As Guise says though if you like Minter and/or Gridrunner it should be criminal to not pick this up for seventy pence. Bifrostpixel Member Dec 14, 2015 7 0 0 Helsingborg, Sweden http://www.bifrostpixel.com #14 Bifrostpixel, Dec 14, 2015 pause button is not there, unfortunately. I was thinking more that the player gives it a go for 3 - 5 mins each time they play. I take it to me and will check if I can sneak in a pause button in the future Version 1.0.2 has a couple of news: * Small bug fix * HighScore on titlescreen * Increased iPhone 4 performance (this one becomes bitter to all other, unfortunately. 6 sec extra loading time) * Universal app support So universal is happening as soon as Apple is ready with its review (crosses fingers and hope maximum two - three more days). Hope you like Gladiex, it sold fairly well in Sweden and got a few good review. One thing that would be great (just a nice to have) is be able to access the leaderboard from the main menu rather than the game center app itself. Oh, and MFi support. I'll check back in once I've played on the iPad later. Great stuff, though. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,286 1 38 #17 LordShad0wz, Dec 19, 2015 Last edited: Dec 19, 2015 Wow!
