Thought I might as well start the thread. It's just about that time again. Go Heat!

Anyways, Nash to Lakers and Lin to Rockets. What.

Lin hasn't been traded yet - the Rockets have just extended their offer.

D-Will sticks to Brooklyn, Joe Johnson joins him :D

Allen to Heat. Time for another dynasty. The Heat have more than what they need to go all the way again.

Didn't realize Kidd even had another three years in him.

Jason Terry, who signed with the Celtics, is a better player at this point then Ray Allen, who just signed with the Heat. Basically, the Celtics upgraded. Neither of these players are in their prime anymore, but father time has seemingly been much kinder to Jason Terry, who still retains a decent all around floor game, as opposed to Allen, who can't do much more than spot up from three. The Heat already had a bunch of guying doing this same exact thing anyway. The issues with the Heat are down low defensively, (Bosh isn't much of a post up guy and not much of a defender down in the paint), and at point guard, where they are way below average. Their worst deficiency is a lack of point guard who is even remotely capable of stopping anyone.

I don't think Ray Allen does that much for the Heat, but then it doesn't matter. The Heat are not a particularly good team anyway. Team basketball is an overrated concept in the NBA. He who has the best core players wins. So, the Heat would have won with or without Allen.

The Knicks have a bunch of mishmash pieces that just don't fix. Truth be known, they do not play defense. These are not defensive orientated players. Amare and Melo are infamous for not playing defense. Kidd is no longer fast enough or athletic enough to play defense. Jeremy Lin is more then capable of getting torched defensively as well. That is a disastrous roster they've assembled over there.

I think OKC should try to land Howard. That's the team to beat if they get him. Lakers and OKC all the way!

Minnesota and OKC have the most talent imo.

I'm sorry but I am a LeBron and Bosh hater so must I dislike those Heat? Wade's cool though...

Lol, so apparently, Dan Gilbert is looking to get a three-way deal going so Howard might still be able to sign with the Nets. Guess Gilbert's still mad at James for leaving Cleveland and wants to make sure he doesn't get another ring.

Looks like Howard won't be headed to the Nets.

Lin to the Rockets. Not sure how many people didn't see that one coming. Hope the Rockets make the money back from this terrible investment. Lin is being absurdly overpaid. They're doing all they can to get all their Asian fans back over here in Houston. Been way too long since Yao.

Great day for Lakers' Fans. And assuming Howard is back in great form after that surgery, everything from there should be good to go -- even if it's only one season with the team.

I am hoping one more ring for Kobe!

I'm not a Bobcats fan, but I hope that they have at least 10 wins instead of 7-59.

I should keep up with basketball more this year. For me the following years have really only been me paying a slight bit of attention to the Lakers. Can't wait for fantasy this year I did terrible last year and hope to redeem myself :D

Im not a big fan of the Lakers but they're roster is pretty interesting with Nash and Howard. I'm looking forward to see how that works out. Go Spurs, Clippers and Thunders!

The Nets are looking NICE... their bench pulled out a comeback W against Boston's starters :D

Andray Blatche seems to be making a good comeback this season after his shortcomings the past few years, putting down 23 points, 9 boards tonight. Teletovic finally had a decent game as well with 18 points, shooting 4 for 10 from beyond the arc.

Can't wait for the opener against the Knicks. How ironic that my screen name held true for the Nets during the 'Jason Kidd era', and now, both Kidd and KMart are teammates again on the KNICKS...
