Professor Layton and the Curious Village is one of the best games of Nintendo DS... It has to many video content... so i think it will be easy to port...

Here is a video: Video Imagine it running in your iphone!!

    argh

you can't PORT IT. its a DS game, meaning you can't emulate it either. the iDevices aren't powerful enough, or big enough for that matter.

Nintendo games = not going to be available in the Appstore, because they are COMPETITION to Apple

I do love that game though

There are hundreds of threads like this already

    *facepalm*

this is common sense though. Its not like he was asking if the iPhone could run a game like this, he was asking someone to port a game over from the DS.

Lol. iPhone/touch have better specs than ds so it would be possible although it would never happen. Look at nfs/real racing footage - much better than ds!

    o_O

    you may be right

the "original ds" which is what PLATCV was made for has about 4 MB of RAM

but the iphone has 128 MB of RAM

i dunno but I bet there's a certain amount of that that can't be used for gaming though....

either way, never gonna happen... sorry

No, actually, it is possible to play DS game on an iPod. First remove the screen from the device. Flip the circuitboard over, you'll find a little slot for the game cartridge. Put it in, place the screen back in its place. If it doesn't fit, squeeze the gadget a bit. Some parts may bend, there may be a few cracks resounding from the inside of the device, don't worry about it. Now, download the NDS app from the AppStore, sync your device, run the app, voila!

    Shun the non-believers! [IMG]

Well the processor in the touch is underclocked from 620 mhz to 412 mhz and 500 mhz in the 2nd gen. The ds' is at 67 mhz and its ram is indeed at 4 mb. The touch I believe can use a decent amount of ram probably around 50 mbs or so. It can definitely handle it. But you are right it probably wont happen.

Two reasons why you won't see a port of Professor Layton on the iPhone:

    1. Nintendo would never publish their IPs to the iPhone (as they are a competitor).

    2. It would be copyright infringement for anyone else to make it and put it on the App Store.

Same goes for any other Nintendo, Microsoft, or Sony IP - Unfortunately the chances of you seeing Link, Master Chief, or Kratos on the iPhone are about as close to zero as is possible without actually being zero (crazy things can happen but I would bet A LOT it would never happen)
