Thanks radchad1 but rpd1975 got a point though... He's probably trying to help TA out by not having multiple thread of the same nature
Yeah I saw this in the upcoming EA games thread, but could someone tell me what kind of game this is exactly? It sounds like a real time strategy but idk
Command & Conquer is one of the premiere real time strategy franchises on the PC. IIRC it was developed initially by Westwood Studios, and it's some sort of alternate take on U.S. history. But, this is just all off of faded memories of ads and reviews, since I've never actually played any iteration of the game. [Edit] If you're a believer in Wikipedia, here's a link: Command & Conquer
The sad thing is that I probably have a copy of one of the earlier games in the series lying around somewhere. I tend to be really bad about buying stuff off of the bargain racks and then never playing them...
Command and Conquer rules. Tiberium wars is the best of the franchise, and pretty fast pace in the newer games.
Wow you guys make me feel old. I played the original C&C when it came out and have been a huge fan of the series ever since. If they do this well I'll be one happy guy.
Nah, just Big_Albie. I was definitely around when those came out. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if I had a couple of magazines lying around with the first one on the cover. Ah, the good old days...
I Played this! Command and conquer: Renegade I'd say about 4 years or more ago. (Dunno how old I was but around grade 4/5) Basicly the version I had was there were 2 teams. Yellowish and red. They both have these towers guarding their entrance and can do massive damage. Red had this laser beam. Yellowish had a tower with machine guns and missles. And you just destroy the other teams base. ;P Flamethrowing cars. Tanks. Stealth people. Nukes.
Yeah, that's when they were trying to expand the franchise to appeal to a wider range of users. The original C&C games were all straightforward RTS games.
Ok, old timers Well, it sounds like this is something I'll need to try. Sorry for being a video game innocent
Well, at least we're just talking about C&C. I felt really old over in the discussion about Mystery House and remembering the days when I played that on my Apple IIc...
Funny you mention Mystery House...I didn't know about that game until this forum, and Frotz was a revelation for me. I still have Frotz on my device because I find it enjoyable.
Funny you should mention Frotz, because I downloaded it a never actually got around to trying it. That's the problem when you've gone through as many games as I have in as short a time span as I have, though. A lot of them tend to go away without getting played.
Tell me about it. I'm in the same situation...having a bunch of games that I just gotten around to play. Frotz is actually pretty good, and it has more stories that you can imagine. I had issues with some of the commands at first, but I've gotten used to them.
