Just buy the game, I can't stand EA but they did a great job with battleship. Different super weapons cover a set # of squares wether it be a box or an x pattern or a # of squares up or down and side to side. They also have their own little cut scene when deployed and when they hit a target. The better the weapon = a more devastating cut scene and they are pretty good.
Yeah fun game. Good fun, with balanced AI. The superweapons really make the game, and the salvo mode too. Fun multiplayer too
