I was wondering how long it would take for someone to start a thread on Hickeys intervention! It will be difficult to outdo Real racing and NFS, but there seem to be a number of "new" features, some of which may appear in existing games through updates. But Asphalt's key feature is of course the possibility to spend "more" for new cars and tracks! (I'm sure market research has shown that the key feature gamers are looking for is the option to pay more for extra cars and tracks!)
The video isn't impressive to me. Graphics look so-so, car physics look ridiculous. I realize this isn't a sim, but it doesn't even resemble the way a car would drive. I guess it depends on what you like, I guess I just don't like this type of racer.
I wonder how long this game will come out in. Looks amazing. And they have online multiplayer, something ferrari gt should have had a long time ago.
It look so-so... The speed is fast, but it look more like a F-Zero speed and not a racer with current cars. Multiplayer and the Radio look awesome, but not enough to make me pay for that. Real Racing will still the best.
Anything with the word 'Asphalt' in it from Gameloft makes me want to vomit! I'm sure there are many other dev contenders out there who will surpass NFS and RR in the future with style, and I'm open to try them. But after Asphalt 4, NOTHING will tempt me to jump into that deep end again. NOTHING!
I love arcade racing games but this one seems way way too quick, it's like car pinball with the walls and knowing the track by mind. It however looks great but will need to see full sized images first, shrunk down & off screen stuff always looks better
Come on people, it's from gameloft, we all know it's going to be terrible. Real racing is ftw we don't need anything else
Ummm... wow. Gameloft makes some quality games and is a favorite among many. Although some of their recent stuff wasn't that great, Asphalt and Real Soccer were two titles that were wonderful for its time. HoS and UNO are also some pretty good games by them.
After just buying Real Racing and how amazing it is, this doesn't excite me at all. It looks so rediculously arcade it's gross. It looks like the game is in fast forward. Not fun looking at all.
I guess I'll be one of the few that does buy this, I didn't enjoy RR that much so I'm guessing I'm more of an arcade racing kinda guy.
