Hey guys, I'm the developer of Kineo. I'm glad you like the app -- I like to think I put a lot of work into it. As for the price, it's only free as a celebration of the App Store's first birthday, and it'll be going back up to its full price on Monday, so grab it for free while you can. I'm currently busy at work on 2.0, and 1.1 is already in review at Apple, so it's definitely still being worked on. Palfince: Where'd you find that video (well, besides YouTube)? That's amazing!
Downloaded, and it is very neat indeed. I was not familiar with these "flipbook" type animation apps till this one, and I am very impressed. To the developer: really appreciate the price drop (price removal maybe more appropriate?) for the weekend and I'll post a good review on iTunes for you. Good luck on future sales!
I found the video on YouTube a while ago when I was searching for videos of Kineo. I wanted to see what the app was like before I bought it and that was the video that convinced me. I've never made any animations that good but I've made a couple that I'm pretty happy with. Everyone should pick this up for free. It's a great flip book app and with updates coming it's a no-brainer.
I was going to pick this up while it was free but it requires OS 3.0 Does it use any features of that OS? As an iPod Touch owner I wasn't planning on upgrading but the more apps that come out that require it I might have to.
I tried to get it Sunday afternoon-- in the applications list it said "free," but when I clicked on the app, it listed the price as $4.99 ! Since I wasn't sure whether I was going to be charged, I decided to pass on it.
The title of this thread needs changing as the app is no longer free. Showing as £2.99 in the UK. Shame, looked interesting as a free app.
Bleh, didn't make it in time...it's being modified like the others above me mentioned. Looks pretty neat!
