Apple A5 graphics benchmarked! (Hint: Tegra 2 was KILLED)

    Very interesting. Nice job Appl- eeer Imagination Technologies :p

    Just a clarification though : the article mentions "far more detail in the character models as well as the environment".
    It's not more details, textures and models are the same. It's better anisotropic filtering (4x or 8x I guess, instead of none/2x), antialiasing, and especially more lights (1 or 2 more per scene). It adds a lot, visually.

    I can't wait to see what's the iPhone 5 can offer.

    Yeah I just saw this too, couldn't believe it. It's a such a shame that Apple didn't launch the iPad with the A5; we will have to wait at least a year before the developers take full advantage of the GPU.

    Thats good news...iphone 5 will probably utilize it and we will have even more amazing games!!! Unreal Engine will probably look great running on this.

    LOL Most devs haven't even begun to take full advantage of the 3GS GPU. The A5 is years ahead of its time.
