The controls are different, depending how you hold your phone. And I could swear it looked like you could use tilt controls, but I can't find anywhere to change them. The way the car steers is also weird in that it barely turns until you hold one direction, and then it turns so fast that you typically turn 90 degrees farther than you want to. It's a fun high score chaser, and plowing through destructible buildings feels great. I know it's just me projecting, but if this was level-based where you had to clear a path through specific buildings to make way for a runaway nuclear transporter, it would be GOTY. Let me tell you what's holding me back from purchasing the legendary cars like I did in Smashy Road. 1) the controls. The turning is way off. I'm not exactly understanding why holding the screen to turn doesn't turn and then all of a sudden you overturn. I'd rather have the tap controls unified and responsive. I'm really having a hard time with them as they are and its preventing me from enjoying the game. 2) no descriptions on the special abilities of the expensive legendary cars. I'd love to know what they do before paying the money for them. I'll spend the money if I like them to support the game. 3) the way the fuel is done. It's so random. Then I finally saw a fuel container and I was trying so hard to turn to get it but kept overturning. There's got to be a better way to do it like maybe you get fuel put in front of you if you defeat a wave. Something like that. I really do like the art style and the whole idea of the game and smashing the buildings and zombies if fun. If you address the above issues I'll be happy to spend some real money in the game. To everyone else, First of all the big thing is there are absolutely no energy timers or forced ads in this game. You can play when and as long as you want and only watch ads for extra fuel and currency if you choose to. With that said as I started progressing in the waves higher and higher I was all of a sudden given the option to watch an opt in ad for a full refuel and cash. If I kept watching more ads the cash reward increased. You can also watch an opt in ad after a run for cash. I really appreciate this approach and as a result I watched a ton of ads. I'm happy the devs are going to work on the controls. While I still get frustrated with the turning, if you stick with it you do sorta get used to it. Each vehicle does have its own weight so the turning problem isn't as bad in some vehicles as others. So far I've unlocked a bunch of vehicles including one legendary. I love the legendary. It kicks butt! I really love the artwork in this game and the vehicle designs are pretty awesome. The prize machine seems very fair. The landscape does change as you drive around and when you get to wave 5 you start to see some of the more crazier enemies come out to get you. Some of the achievements are going to be tough because you have to get to wave 6 to start getting the enemies you need to kill. The power ups are really crazy. They are fun to use. Really great job on them. I love the Lightning. So at this time I'm definitely rating this game a 4. When the controls are adjusted and the purchasable legendary vehicles are explained, even if they are just explained right here in this thread, I will buy them depending on what they do. I've been eyeing the truck with all of the speakers and the steampunk car. I just hope none of them are pink. If they have some cool abilities I have no problem spending the $8. Hopefully it's full of blow up dolls or something interesting if it's the apocalypse. When I'm about to run out of gas and I tap the button to watch the video and I'm given the option to watch the 6 videos to increase the amount of cash each view and eventually get the magnet, what keeps happening is after the second video is it keeps saying sorry no more videos available and the game immediately goes to playing. Yet this isn't true because if I continue playing after the play is over I can watch an ad for cash. This has to be a bug. If I start a new game I then get to start viewing the ads for where I left off at the 3rd one. After viewing an ad it would be nice to get a 3 second warning before gameplay restarts. Right now it's just instant. The smaller vehicles flip over way too easily and there's not much of anything inside buildings and structures. There's hardly any incentive to destroy buildings as they make you flip over. Can you put more items inside of buildings? It would be nice to have a button to be able to go to the prize machine when I want to. Sometimes I am forced to wait until after I play another game when I have 400 cash because there's no way for me to get to it. There needs to be hazards like water you can fall into. There needs to be more to make it interesting. That's it for now.
