THAT'S COOOOL! With Real Racing 3′s Time Shifted Multiplayer (TSM) you can race anyone, anytime, even if theyre offline! Every single career event is filled with the fully interactive AI controlled time shift doubles of your Game Center or Facebook friends, as well as other players from around the world.
Why can't we just race in real time with other players? Or can we? We couldn't in the previous versions
Not sure how I missed that. I'm sure I looked before and only saw leagues where you had to upload your times so I just played the computer and got bored and gave up
Lol yeah the multiplayer was there. It was pretty good too but I always had an immense amount of lag for some reason. New router this time around though
I'm now looking more forward to this. If only I was a member here at that time I probably would have known it had multiplayer. Thank you for setting me straight.
Dear Sam, May you tell us if current released videos and screenshots are pre-rendered within the engine? As in slightly more fluff added or at least upsampled to an insane resolution? I keep watching these videos and screenshots and my mind cannot wrap itself around the fact that it runs and looks like this on an iOS device. The details on the cars and level of high geometry simply just looks too good to be true or even possible. May you also share what hardware is used to capture said material that has been released so far?
Everything we've shown is using in-game assets. Check out dev diary 3 for a look at it running on device: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4Cf4U2WArc
I remember the interview Rob done which had RR3 running in the background on a TV, and he said the footage was rendered in real time using the A5X on "the new iPad", which at the time was iPad 3. Fingers crossed for a good experience on the iPad 3.
dude these guys know there stuff, real racing 2 still looks beautiful, but there port of NFS most wanted is freaking gorgeous i think we will be ok on the ipad 3.. ::still upset at apple for releasing ipad 4 so early after release of ipad 3...apple should of skipped the 3 and released the 3 that the 4 specs are which are so much better and to help the issues with retina at that resolution with not enough processor/memory...just dumb....just makes me mad thinking about it... Cook changed release schedule i doubt Jobs would of let ipad 3 get released at the resolution with those specs.
I've probably mentioned this somewhere in this thread already, but I don't think you guys really need to worry about performance on older devices. Remember that Firemint got RR2 to work on ALL generations of iPhone and iPod Touch. I fully trust Firemonkeys to deliver a smooth experience on my iPhone 5, iPad 3, and possibly even my iPod Touch 2G. Has universal support been confirmed yet?
YEP! No Big Deal, really! I start to believe that RR3 will have exactly the same requirements as NFSMW. Which is good for everybody!
