I haven't been following the iOS gaming scene in the last 3 months... So, could any of you tell me of some notable games that got recently released?

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Warhammer Quest, Frozen Synapse, Star Warfare: Black Dawn came and went but will be back with a new name soon, Star Command finally came out but wasn't what people wanted it to be. Lots more too. Just check the last 12 or so GOTW threads.

    Thanks for the replies :)

Is frozen synapse only for iPad?

How's the overall gameplay in Sorcery? I really like the unique graphics, but so far that's the only thing I like about it... Is the combat turn based? How long is the game?

Gangstar Vegas unfortunately doesn't run on my device and neither does Star Wars, dammit.

Any more titles worthy of checking out?

Btw what's the name of that folding book game (Chinese style, gameplay similar to Sword and Sworcery)? Did it come out yet?

Not really any notable one that I can think of other than what has been named. Maximus is an original game but heavily influenced by Golden Axe. As for that paper folding game, are you thinking of Paper Titans? That's out.

Edit: Oh and try WazHack if you like roguelikes.

I just found out that Kontra and Karateka came out, so that's pretty awesome.

And no, it's not Paper titans, it was something else... Thanks though.

I played WazHack on the PC, but it seemed very bland to me... Was that just a wrong first impression?

Possibly, its visually bland, but there's a ton of depth that's not immediately apparent, and loads of replay value, but it all comes downto taste I guess. I'd recommend giving it another try, or at least read the TA review and the thread.

No, I just found it; it's called Tengami.

So no major releases for the past 3 months except Gangstar Vegas and Star Wars and World war Z?

Edit: Unearthed looks like a really good game... Worth getting?

    For major releases:

Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery Ep1 - great Puzzle Adventure title
Warhammer Quest - Turn-Based Strategy at its finest
Gemini Rue - point and click adventure which felt like the classic sierra titles
LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes - one of the best brawler-type games on the appstore now
House of the Dead Overkill - it's a great and really cheap port of a great on-rails FPS game, and was translated into touchscreens very well
Iron Man 3 - of course this is just a big title, just too greedy, but the production values are really high
Sorcery! - one of the best Gamebooks on the appstore now
Combo Crew - one of the most innovative brawlers ever
Phoenix Wright Trilogy - one of capcom's best titles, need i add more?
Final Fantasy 5 - another remake of a classic, and is still pretty darn solid
Unmechanical - Puzzle Adventure. Just... get this.
Fetch - more point-and-click adventure goodness
Stargate SG-1: Unleashed - yet more point and click adventure goodness, but with a lot of content and gameplay variety included in it.
Indiana Stone - no IAPs, and one of the most unique runners, one of the best too
