POSTED BY TOUCH ARCADE: Gameloft's Upcoming 'Bullet' Appears to be Their Take on 'Red Dead Redemption'? posted August 26th, 2011 4:00 PM EDT by Eli Hodapp in Games, iPhone games, iPod touch games, Upcoming Games �� The name Bullet has been thrown around for a while now as one of Gameloft's upcoming games by loose-lipped beta testers, and we've really had no idea what to expect given it's basically impossible for them to come up with a game title (Or, codename, I suppose) than that. Today's details come care of apparent YouTube watchdog Rafael Forse who caught Gameloft in the process of uploading two trailers, apparently forgetting to hit the ever-important "private video" checkbox in the process. This is easier than it sounds, and has caused some drama for us too in the past– Oddly enough, with a Gameloft game. Knowing what we know about Gameloft, and how much they re-purpose their various game types, it seems reasonable to think that Bullet is either a third person adventure game sort of like BackStab [$6.99] or even a Grand Theft Auto style game like Gangstar: Miami Vindication [$6.99]. Either way, it seems clear that it's western themed. Personally, I'm betting on it being closer to a Grand Theft Auto-esque game similar to Red Dead Redemption since that seems to make the most sense with the horse screenshot. Although, I could just be seeing that because I really enjoyed Red Dead and would love to see something similar on the App Store.
I can see this being a sort of 9mm type game with a western themed skin, Gameloft are pushing out a lot of previews for future release games but no actual release dates Still will look forward to gameplay videos and probably buy it anyway
The most logic clone would be a rdr one. Gun was a failure in both sales and expectation. Rdr was a massive success I'm both areas. If they get the community to promote it as a rdr clone in iOS then a massive amount of people would buy it for that sole reason. And hopefully its good as well I hope they make their best game ever and that it is a rdr clone. Since rdr really is one of the greatest games ever, such ambience and life.
Yeah, I agree. one of the reasons why RDR was such a success was it had a great story/characters etc. Gameloft will in no way come close to achieving that.

My thought are : RDR CLONE TRAILER TO COME OUT THIS WEEK GAMELOFT TO USE ENGINE WHICH THEY ARE CURRENTLY USING TO MAKE MODERN COMBAT . GAME TO BE AMAZING! EID MUMBARAK IN ADVANCE
Keep calm. Looks to me, like a western skinned Backstab. We saw the hype and unfortunately, know how that game turned out.
Yeah you are probably right, but still a western skinned backstab would be awesome wouldn't it? I just want an open-world gun-filled shooter with rpg elements. If you didn't notice, I'm a Borderlands fan
Other than the open world, this game doesn't really relate to Backstab at all. And besides, Gameloft wouldn't release such similiar games (as you're suggesting) in such a small space of time (yes, 2 months is a small time span in this case). From the achievement descriptions, this sounds like a game I would enjoy. And even though Backstab didn't deliver everything I was expecting, I still enjoyed it.
What an uneducated statement.. I'd like to know how you'd come to that conclusion, given the few screenshots, that this game is anything like Backstab. Except of course that it's in third person. If you have legitimate info or are a current tester then I will eat my words here and apologize but I honestly doubt that as a possibility. Even if they use the same engine and graphics, it doesn't mean it's a "Backstab type of game." As I recall, the majority of Backstab was played with a sword and hardly using a gun. And this game is named Bullet. I doubt this game will play anything like Backstab, honestly.
