Does anyone know if there's a list of the first 50-100 iPod games ever released? I'm curious to know what they are.
I think Super Monkey Ball 1 was one of them... Atleast, that was one they showed at the press event for the iPhone 3G and iOS 2.
The oldest app I have is Tomatoes (14/7/2008) which is for Rotten Tomatoes film reviews and doesn't work any more. Next oldest is iDrops (6/8/2008) and Tris (12/8/2008).
I don't know if there is a list but here are a few I remember: Aurora Feint Galcon Tris Trism Dreigit Cuberunner Crash Bandicoot Zen Pinball Rollercoaster Labyrinth Dizzy Bee MotionX Poker Vay Enigmo Jirbo--it was a brick breaker game... I remember there was a lot of discussion about Cube Runner since it was free, and showed how great 3D games could look on the iPhone...
Bugdom 2 has got to be one of them. Also the motorcycle one.....forget the name at the moment. Moto.. Looked at my bill and all these were bought within a couple or few months after the appstore opened. I'm sure some would be first releases. Still have plenty more but too long of a list to show. Wha?! Motochaser was amazing! lol A lot of apps in the first month or so were more testers and novelty things, such as bubble wrap and a stapler! Or you had cons, games that would not show any pictures of in-game play. Not much has changed in 3 years really...
The original Motion X Poker had to have been one of the first 100 or so apps. I remember it being "the big deal" for a couple of weeks, way back in early 3G days.
Space Deadbeef and Metal Gear Solid Touch are the first two early shooters I remember that are still available.
