It was London Game Conference yesterday and one of their conclusions was that Zynga will eventually lose it's shine due to its cynical approach to monetisation. I reckon this was just pure envy from those who are less successful.
This won't help them either: http://kotaku.com/5858425/report-zynga-demands-stock-back-from-employees-threatens-to-fire-them
That really sucks. Back to the point though, I think if Zynga does not diversify their portfolio to include more than just social games (or at least improve the quality of them) they may face a rather large decline if this social game craze ends up being a fad/bubble.
eventually.. but since when are discussion outcomes on an conference important.. or news on a gaming website.. i doubt the general zynga customers frequent them at all or even give a sh** about what people think about the company behind their favorite game.. if they even know that the game is made by zynga an not facebook. pretty much any big and public company will be vilified.. how much crap was thrown and is being thrown at apple arround the net.. haters be haters and fanboys be fanboys.. but i honestly can't see where this thread should be going..
100% correct. Maybe the shine they lose is just the attraction to them by the tech community, which may or may not (more than likely not) have an effect in their future.
