I was guessing something like Hook Champ or SQH for this guy....retro graphics, deeper gameplay.

By "modern-styled" I meant anything that's not retro.

There's a group of diehard retro fans here who rarely praise games like Grand Theft Auto and NFL 2010, but they go ape for games like Pix'n Love Rush and Max Vector. I was just curious to know what kind of modern games they enjoyed.

I adore retro games, but I also love plenty of modern games. My favorite modern ones are Okami, Metal Gear Solid series, and I do love me some Final Fantasy XIII :)

I'm a huge fan of games like Geometry Wars, Spirit, and Canabalt.

Modern games? GTA CW, Snake Galaxy, Fruit Ninja, Warpgate, Archetype, AC2, Twilight Golf, iBomber 2, and more.

I'm a big fan of SNES classics like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana 2 (aka the unreleased in the US Seiken Densetsu 3), Castlevania, Zelda, et al. Macwise, I was a big bungie/ambrosia fan.

I'll also throw some love out there for Silicon Beach - Dark Castle and Beyond Dark Castle were half a decade ahead of their time. :D Hell, apache strike was pretty freaking amazing for being a 3d flight sim on the original 8mhz mac.

    Modern Games?
Just finished playing through starcraft 2.
