When will NetherRealm start to take iOS seriously? When Injustice for iOS was announced I thought that we would get a port of the fighting game, instead we got an IB-like game, and now another Lockdown game? Then what, a Mortal Kombat game with Injustice Mobile gameplay?
What I see: UE: nope, not hyped. Button based combat: hmm, won't judge til I actually play it. Looks not awfully different from the last Arkham Lockdown, but they better make it more responsive. Mission oriented: fine... but man do I love me some real exploration... Dual currency: Infinity Blade 3 all over again no timer, or this one is off the list. Overall might be a flop, but who knows, maybe we're in for some significant improvement.
Meh, I'd stick to injustice, if they update the overall look to look like this and add battles, but overall meh, just another Arkham lockdown
Holy boring Batman, looks EXACTLY like the other Batman game where you swipe until your fingers fall off.
We will just have to wait ten years, when the console ports from Nether realm start coming to iOS. This looks ok. I haven't played the earlier batman game. I would be surprised if this is "the same". Surely NRS will do something different.
Is this style of gameplay even popular outside of Infinity Blade? So many copycats. Plus - free to play - yet another lacklustre attempt at a game.
So you're saying injustice has more depth than lockdown? Really? Neither were really great games, but at least there was skill involved in lockdown. Anyway, I'm just gonna wait until its released to judge. It does seem similar to lockdown, but hopefully the assassin battles will add some variety.
Batman Arkham Origins will be released around the 25th of october. It will be Free to Play and it's gonna be smaller in size than its predecessor ("well below a gig"). http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Batman%3A+Arkham+Origins/news.asp?c=54455
LOL... I guess im the only one excited for this. Seeing as im in the minority (maybe just me even) who likes what im seeing here, Im glad it's free to play rather than paid, coz we know it isnt gonna sell like hot potatoes at a $3+ price tag. At least there wont be complaints or regrets for being an early adopter.
Im not quoting anyone here, but as far as game mechanics go, i will take ACLockdown over Injustice. Nevertheless, I played each of these games and enjoyed them both.
I keep hoping for a batman game similar to spider-man total mayhem made by gameloft. The movie tie-game wasn't doing it for me. This looks alright, I guess
