Looks challenges and fun. Will release with price free or paid?

Thanks! Our current plan is to release the game for free with cosmetic and 'helper' in-app purchases. But to reassure any IAP skeptics, while it will be possible to finish the game without paying, you won't be able to just 'pay to win' ;)

    Hello TA!

I'm the level designer on Adventure Beaks and wanted to mention some things that I think stand out about our game.

-Level of difficulty ramps up pretty high (Meat Boy-like).
-Tricky traps that will be surprising you until the last level.
-Lots of replay with multiple paths and hidden items / costumes to find.
-Even more replay with multiple missions / 100% rating for each level
-The costumes are hilarious and you can make some pretty crazy combinations (e.g. penguin w/ T-Rex head, peacock feathers, and a gold clock necklace)

Personally, this is exactly the kind of platformer I like on iOS. Tight, simple controls and tons of challenge. It's pretty hardcore in that respect, so I'm curious to see what the TA community thinks. Thanks for checking it out!

Looks pretty good! Since it's a runner but not endless, how do you see the replay value?

    Hi!

The levels are designed with replay in mind. Each level has multiple paths and branches (a bit like a Sonic level) that you are encouraged to explore to find a variety of objects that help with progression, and other cosmetic rewards like costumes.

Each level also has 3 'missions' to complete, which make you think about the level in a new way (play the level at double speed) or present extreme challenge (defeat all enemies in a level). We make sure these missions are fun and not just filler.

Beyond that we're throwing around some ideas for social challenges and/or leaderboards that we've found to be fun.

The levels are also pretty long, difficult (of course there are generous checkpoints), and there are a lot of them.

tl:dr - We get replay with lots of content :)

Looks great. Will the penguins have different powers/abilities? Or just different costumes? Can't wait to try it out :)

The penguins all have the same abilities… however, they have to work together to reach certain areas in some levels by 'taking one for the team' (aka sacrificing themselves to clear the way).

But don't worry, no penguins were harmed in the making of this game, and they all happily report back at the start of each run. Real troopers!

oh, looks fun. Hope the jungle has some gameplay mechanic of it's own. Liana swinging, for example.
