I think not many devs want to launch their new game between Christmas and new year, because no one pays attention really at this time of year, they wanna be the first release of 2017, well that's what I think.
Since the AppStore freeze began on December 21st, and only just ended, I assume that this will greatly limit the quantity of any new games to be issued this week, although a few may slip through, if they were submitted to the AppStore before the freeze began. Things should return to normal next week.
Since I use AppShopper (the original version that was designed to be universal instead of just iPhone, like the current version that only supports iPhone) to check for new apps/games on a daily basis. In checking for new stuff, there have been new games dropping on and since the 21, just not a lot of them. But there were some.
You must have way too much free time I get maybe one game a month, and my backlog is huge. With stuff like Baldur's Gate 1+2, Icewind Dale, Demon's Rise 2, Avadon 3, etc etc I can keep myself busy for at least another year or two, without buying anything new.
It was just a joke, don't take it to heart. He's saying there's lots of great games already on the AppStore, so why do you need to see this week drop a bunch of free runner type or match the gems or flicky games? What exactly are you waiting for and was it scheduled to release this week anyway? I know I've got, like 50(?) games on my device I've barely even started or played enough to say I'm done with them, so a quiet week like this is a good thing for me personally. I'm loving Baldur's gate right now which is a freaking 1998 game and like at least 40 hours of gameplay and then there's the sequel to get through after that. I am enjoying Baldur's gate more than any other RPG I've played on my device. A quiet week is a good week for Discovering old gems and taking a good bite at their gameplay. ....but if you've completed everything on the AppStore, then yeh, you must have a lot of time on your hands and I'm very impressed.
Refocusing here, let's not make a new thread for this every week or two? At one point it just becomes clutter. Besides, even the staff need a break from time to time.
