But in mechs instead World of mechs Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #10 Sanuku, Oct 11, 2014 The Game is still in an early build and my guess would be that some prefer Singleplayer (Offline) instead of Multiplayer. Besides that, so far the Game does seem solid but I kinda have to mention that as an Front Mission Player since more then twenty years I prefer too a Single Player Campaign over Multiplayer any moment I can could choose. Hint: The Team should just play through the early Front Mission Games and watch Animes like Patlabor I/II and listen meanwhile to the Soundtracks of Kenji Kawai and the Singleplayer probably can`t go wrong. I usually prefer the Story Plots of Patlabor or the Front Mission Games over Games like Xenogears or Gundam since they are less Sci-Fi and more about what problems comes with the responsibility of a society that does slowly is using their humanity and what might be the ultimate price for that at the end. There should be NO text over the names at all unless looking directly at them, and it should not be so huge and intrusive. I would also like Single Player, but this is a free game, the gameplay is rock solid. However, it needs some major polish. There seems to be no falling damage, at times weapons don't fire or don't stop firing, and you can't seem to control who you are following if you die and observe. In addition, I do not know if you get anything if you leave a game after dying or not. There is also some basic clunkiness in game and in the menu. The menu itself is not intuitive, and I had to do some searching to find where to buy different things. So the positives, this game has the fast paced action that makes World of Tanks so popular, perhaps even more fast paced and action packed that WoT. Also, unlike WoT, there are a variety of weapons and heavy armour doesn't seem to completely nullify the purpose of lighter tanks being present. The basic currency seems to be given out generously as well. Overall, I could see with polish, albeit a lot of polish at this point, this game could replace WoT as my go-to game for when I want to play a few quick multiplayer matches with a friend. Rothgarr Well-Known Member Dec 19, 2010 411 0 16 #14 Rothgarr, Oct 12, 2014 Just wanted to add that I love this game! Kirenx Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2012 774 0 0 #15 Kirenx, Oct 12, 2014 So a hint for any new players, use your starting premium currency to buy two more mech slots. This game has an amazingly unbalanced system where when you die in a match, you can switch to other mechs you own until you run out. Thus nothing seems as important to buy as more slots. gemineye62 Well-Known Member Feb 16, 2010 641 0 0 #16 gemineye62, Oct 12, 2014 Thank you very much for the tip. If you have others to share , I would appreciate it. Level 4 comes fast enough and gives you the chance to buy mechs with multiple gun platforms. From what I have seen so far lighter, faster mechs simply do not perform to the same standard as pure firepower. Thus most of the early game is just grinding matches until you hit levels 4,5, and 6 and unlock the big mechs that can carry heavier guns. Fortunately basic currency and experience seem to come fast enough that the grind isn't too tedious. One key thing I have noticed: grab the beacons whenever you can. Many players ignore them, but aside from winning matches, every beacon grab you get nets you a large chunk of currency once the match ends. gemineye62 Well-Known Member Feb 16, 2010 641 0 0 #18 gemineye62, Oct 12, 2014 Thanks again for the info. I just got to level five. I'm debating if I should get the cannon that does over 8700 damage , but takes 15 seconds to reload or stick with my upgraded 6000 one at 9 sec. reload time. Also, do you ever use a shield? There must be something effective against the shield guys....not sure. Thanks (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
