there are many games that are free but make you pay for the best weapon or item but within all of those weeds are some good in game purchases, what are they?

great little war game IAP maps
    pilot winds unlock

    a couple more I can't remember
so in other words, non- consumable content upgrades

Any content unlock is pretty much fair.

The Jet Car Stunts DLC is good. Can't think of anything else right now that hasn't been said.

Edit: Bug Heroes character packs are awesome.

    Doodle Army 2 unlock
Tilt to Live Turret/Coop mode unlock
Great Little War Game HD unlocks

If you like the game, and do not have a problem with IAP, you have to get it. Its a great time waster, and I heard its even more frantic and better on the Ipad.

If you like the game, you definitely should get it. If you have someone to play it with over bluetooth, then you need it.

Map packs in Fieldrunners, Bloons TD, The Creeps, and other TDs are good as well if you like the games.

The only IAP purchases I have bought and not felt ripped off by are

    Galaxy on Fire 2 Valkryie
    Peggle
    Space Miner Blast

I've bought a few others that weren't terrible and do help the game but I still felt kind off bitter about such as ridge racer and defender chronicles.

Since I don't have that much DLC I can only say the best I've bought was Galaxy on Fire 2: Valkyrie. - by far!

I like the way ReRave handles IAP purchases. The game comes with ten free songs, which are varied and will take a long time and quite a bit of practice to score high on. They are also pretty good and don't come across as cheap. If you want additional songs, you can buy song packs (that you can sample before), but they aren't essential in the way that you "need" them to feel like you got the full value out of the game. They are more like optional (truly optional) expansion packs.

I dunno, in-app purchases always feel cheap to me. They're either consumables, cheats (Fragger, for example, lets you buy infinite grenades), full-game unlocks, or content that should have been released as a free update.

There are exceptions, I'm sure... I just haven't seen them first-hand.

    1. consumables/cheats suck I agree.
    2. full game unlocks are no different from buying the game. These are good IAP's, escpecially cause you try before you buy.
    3. content updates do NOT have to be free. many games are already full of content and the extra stuff is for fans that love the game. There is usually a lot of good stuff or it is cheap compared to the price of the game. some are bad though, like 5 quick levels for a dollar. But in most cases, it's fair and so the dev can make a living.

This is incredibly subjective. If you really like a game, you'll be more likely to want to play "more" of it; if you don't, you won't ... and no amount of recommendations is likely to change that.

Ticket to Ride's expansions are now the best DLC. End of story. :)
