Kickstarter IOS/Android goal at $25,000 The Way is a 2D puzzle platformer game inspired by classic titles like Another World, Heart of Darkness and Flashback. Seeing the remakes and re-releases of those titles we realised that there are no new games that would have similar spirit and gameplay. Without giving too much away, The Way tells a story about a member of space explorers team, who lost his beloved one and cannot accept her death. Finding ancient writtings on eternal existence during one of his last expeditions makes him come back there in search of the meaning of life itself. He will soon know that the planet has its own secrets and problems that he will need to face in order to get what he is looking for. - Immersing sci-fi story, - Unique alien planet to explore, - Retro pixelart style rich with animations, - Emphasis on the atmosphere and emotions, - Multi-function alien artifact (telekinesis, relfective shield and teleportation!) - Mind-bending puzzles - Level design inspired by Éric Chahi's masterpieces
Holy poo yes Edit: Just read the description. If we can't get Hyper Light Drifter, at least we'll have this! I am instantly extremely excited. 8k in 2 days? I can see this getting to the 25k stretch goal reaaaally easily
The backdrops are really cool. But why no love for Nintendo? I'm sure WiiU can handle that at practically the same cost of PS/XBox
Agreed. We usually try to downplay the Kickstarter connection on upcoming games, but hell, this looks amazing. Unless another mod steps in, I'm okay with the OP.
Sweet, this is already at 2/3 funding in 2 days. High hopes for that iOS port In the description they mention that they wanna bring it to Wii U and Vita as well
Yeah, I was hesitant to start a thread for a Kickstarter, but considering how the funding is going, the IOS version seems very likely and I knew this was a game you guys would probably be interested in
Stupid me just saw the pic with the benchmarks and gave my assumption quickly All''s well in my world again hahaha
Currently at $19,036, with 11 days left. Given the boost Kickstarters always get in the last few days/hours, I expect that this will definitely reach the IOS/Android goal
