    Hello guys,

I recently bought Screen Flow to record my iPhone app Demo. However I have been getting quite bad results :-(

Does anyone have some good tip to do this ?

    Thanks!

There is a software which converts your mouse to a translucent circle (to represent your touch) but I forgot what it was...

    ...goes searching on the interwebs...

    ...nope can't find it.

    Anyone else?

We've been using SimCap for our iMockups videos, it's pretty awesome. It also represents the mouse as a transparent 'fingertip'. It also works with iPad simulator.

Actually we couldn't get SimFinger working for us so we had no choice but to use SimCap

I managed to get simFinger to work , but the OSX cursor appeared over the white "circular finger". Still ScreenFlow allows you to remove the OS X cursor, leaving me only with simFinger cursor :)

    :)

I used simFinger but with a modification. It couldn't set the carrier name or install the fake apps without changing the path to the simulator in the code (the simFinger code). This I found on the gitHub issues list.

I use Snapz Pro X to record from the screen and it has a 'don't show cursor' option. Other screen recording software should have the same feature. SimFinger doesn't get rid of the cursor.

I'm still working on the video. It's not as simple as I'd hoped.

I think it used to hide the cursor, but it stopped working with Snow Leopard ( at least that's what I read somewhere )

I have a problem with SimFinger. It couldn't find the simulator.
I tried to change the paths in FakeFingerAppDelegate.m, but nothing.
Have you any hint to resolve this issue?

I develop iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad / MacOSX game

I used Screenflow for my demo video and got good results.

To control the iPhone simulator, I used iSimulate
They have instructions on how to change or hide the touch points.

As for getting good results in Screenflow - do you mean that you do not like your videos because they don't appear professional or you do not like the quality of the video output from the program? If it is the latter, you can go into the settings and set everything to high quality, etc...

Really, I tried SimCap and SimFinger and I prefer the latter.
I have used SimFinger with Snapz Pro X, but I can't use it in landscape mode, 'cause it doesn't succeed in finding the Simulator.
I tried to change the path in the SimFinger project without success.
