I'm betting most of the bad reviews are from people who were lucky enough to download them game for free, the full version, then updated to find a premium version has replaced it. It's not really unethical for non payers, but it is Indian giving.
Latest update reverts the app to full price and removes the IAP. I hope it stays that way! When it was freemium/demo/crippleware, I never found anyone playing at the higher levels, so couldn't complete the multiplayer challenges. Now that it's back to full price and unlocked, there are other people playing at the higher levels and I was able to complete two multiplayer challenges tonight before having to go do something else.
Whoo, like it even more now! I wonder why the changed the economics, but it seems to work out for them.
Found out about it on the Monument Valley review comments, xx99 mentioned it. I love it! Trying to find solutions to the puzzles with another person must be a blast... and it went from freemium to premium? Amazing.
It's even more of a rollercoaster than that! It went from premium to freemium (really demo/crippled with iap-unlock) and back to premium again.
What a ride, I am glad it came out the right way Bought it and loving it so far... its a minimalist wonderful puzzler. If you like the video, dive in this is great, and has multiplayer to solve some of the puzzles which will probably add a ton of fun. Looking forward to that. Will finish it with a smile playing it.
My gf just bought this and it's really cool so far. Is there any way so I can play this with my gf only? Some people are joining the room and messing up things we have build up, which sucks.
