Can't figure out how to post properly Hi, I am trying to post about a new game but I can't figure out the top portion of the post with the app icon, rating and download links. I have used the template but it just gives the bottom portion of all the posts on the threads.
Apple recently introduced new, 10-character app IDs to the App Store. The TouchArcade system doesn't pick them up very well yet, some games just don't work. I've had a look at your thread and it does have a 10-digit ID.
Am I doing something wrong? For me it doesn't display in the App Store-esque style that some threads do; like this one does: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=268891 Is it meant too? It just displays as a neatly formatted normal post.
where do I change the avatar next to my post ? I have posted here for the 1st our new game that has been chosen yesterday to the front page on the appstore and I want the icon of our game to be visible next to the thread. what to do ? thank you
Absolutely nothing. You already have the proper appinfo tags in the thread. Once the appinfo kicks in, the icon will show up next to your thread automatically.
It just shows up on its own. Like Echo and myself mentioned above, there are some issues with the appinfo working in general, so don't worry.
Just used for the first time (The website version in the beginning of the thread) and I wanted to just say it's amazing, Thank you Eli for such a tool!
Posting this summary here for how to create a new thread if the game you want to share is already out worldwide, as requested by Jayg2015 in another thread: If the game is already available worldwide, you just need the full App Store link (not the appsto.re short one you get on your phone). Then post a new thread and include the link in your first post inside appinfo tags. Click quote on the first post of another thread to see the exact format. If you're posting from your iOS device, you can find the long link by taking the short appsto.re link and pasting it into http://www.wheredoesthislinkgo.com.
I want to post something from the Russian App Store, but the tool puts all the text in Russian. I'm using the English language link, I was hoping it would put all the text in English. Any advice?
I have to say that this is a great tool for posting to threads. Without having to do much on editing your own the thread-o-matic is there for you
