Holy Shit. It's Halo for the iPhone.

    THIS WILL HAVE WI-FI MULTIPLAYER!
Here's the clip from today's keynote speech showing the game in action:

Lol, Nova and Halo are pretty similar titles. Looks like Gameloft's still going on with making clones :/

I really don't know how to feel about gameloft. On one hand, they're making pretty decent games with great graphics. On the other hand, all of their games are shameless rip offs...

I have to agree completely, and the other problem is that if they continue this trend their going to start making it harder for indie devs to compete in the major genres.

I'm starting to love Gameloft. This is actually a big news day in general for the iPhone. I'm tempted to start being a nerd just because of today.

OK, for everyone complaining about them doing rip-offs. IT'S A CELL PHONE!! God, if you really want that crap you need to know that they're probably not even trying, becouse if they do they better do it for a console, makin' the big bux! They make quick games, with good 3D graphics and sell them, if you haven't noticed.

Also, Gameloft has ALWAYS, ALWAYS made games of movies, games and random games. Nothing new.

That's the thing, you see, iPhone is not just a cellphone, it's a device perfectly capable of running PSP level apps, but as long as companies like Gameloft continue to dominate the market, not many will want to invest any substantial resources into developing a full featured, original title for the iDevices.

EDIT: Once, again, I don't "hate" Gameloft. I have Modern Combat and Gangstar, and some of their other games, but I just want to see the platform evolve, and it's not happening with Gameloft

Awesome but really people. Someone ripping off a fps.... sorry but Halo was not the first fps to have us kill aliens nor will it be the last. FPS genre has been dried up for new ideas since 2000 and even earlier. Just be happy we are getting a new fps. They all play the same and have the same story but they are still fun to play.

    To Dpashkin

As far as the store evolving, it's only been around for a little over a year.
What were you expecting? awsome, high quality games?
To look back and see how far gaming has come in such a short time is awesome. I love Gameloft, as they're actually giving us GAMES to play, games that I want on a mobile platform that the Iphone/Ipod Touch has not had. They don't have an embargo, they're not restricting anyone from progromming a high quality title. If it bugs you so much, don't buy any of their games. Though based on your own admission "owning gangstar..etc.." you're already contributing to their business model.

if they were so bad, no one would buy their games and support them.

Personally, they'll continue to get my support as no other publisher has stepped up to fill the gaming genre holes, or push the boundaries of what can be expected across all genres. Definitely not saying they're original, but at least they're giving us the game genre experiences we want as gamers.

And I can't wait to check out Nova, right after Dungeon Hunter...lol

I never said they made bad games nor that I hate them. I simply stated that making straight clones of popular console titles is not how you evolve a platform and that I don't know how I feel about Gameloft.

P.S. Great publishers that are moving platform forward: Ngmoco, Chillingo
