Edit: Game's out, iTunes link here Air Force vs Luftwaffe HD. --------- Bitmen Studios is currently working on Air Force vs Luftwaffe, a fast-paced action game for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. You start with an airplane flying missions, gaining experience points and adding more planes to your squadron. We've invested a lot of effort into realistic graphics and animations, but we've invested even more time into game design to make sure that the game is fun - and the favorable feedback from our beta testers makes us pretty confident that we did a good job. The game has its own custom physics engine and we've made sure that the controls are responsive to support the fast-paced nature of the game. There's also a wide variety of missions to complete and 12 unlockable, distinct planes to fly. Obvious stuff like leaderborads, achievements, different game modes (incl. an endless mode), upgrades, etc. go without saying. I was able to test (still playing.. )this game on both iphone3G and ipad, and I have to say that it will be your new favorite! even on the older phone there was no lag on screen even when there was dozens of planes involved in multiple dogfights. As for the ipad version, it really is something to see as there is such a huge playing field, and the hd graphics and backgrounds are crystal clear..I was impressed with the enemy Ai as well..it was totally fun to have a squadron of planes chasing my plane all over the screen! There is also great replay value as there are many planes to unlock and those planes can upgraded with things like better firepower, more armor, etc and the missions are varied enough to keep you coming back for more. I see great things coming from Bitmen Studios...keep a look out
Game's been submitted to Apple for Review and will hit the App Store on May 6 (provided we pass Apple's secret review process till then). Launch prices will be initially $1.99 for SD and $2.99 for HD, so be sure to grab it while it's on promo.
