Our recent game, Sports Logo Quiz, has enjoyed moderate success in its first two weeks on the App Store. However, the adoption rate has decreased slightly from its initial launch, and rankings are slipping as a result.

Similar (and worse looking) games have made it to the top of the free charts before, even other visual trivia apps like Logos Quiz, and more recently Hi Guess the Brand. Do you suppose they relied on luck, or is there a type of marketing that is reliable for low-overhead games like this?

    Hey,

for some basic rules about your strategy and communication channels, check out this guide on mobile game marketing.

What are you doing now for your game? Are you buying users? You should definitely try some paid user acquisition, but for that you need to know LTV of your players. Facebook ads are still really cheap.

For example, Supercell (Clash of Clans and Hay Day) is still buying users heavily, you can see their ads pretty much everywhere. Almost all successful game today are based on continuous campaigns and flipping earned money back to marketing.
