Ermmm...yeah, not with this. :/ The game is superb, the animations are lovely, I was honestly surprised to see iPad retina and I love the level design, but...the game requires precision. You're gonna need to make your way around tight spots, blades, fire and wall jump a hell of a lot. The problem is...the controls. It's too much of a hassle alternating hands all the time on an iPad, and tapping both sides simultaenously still doesn't give me the precision I need. I'm legitimately scared of later levels. I thought maybe those screenshots showed a different control scheme, but it's apparent those are bombs...and I'm still on the second level and having the hardest time grasping these controls. What's it gonna be like when more buttons start showing up on screen? :/ I don't know if asking for a more traditional (left, right, jump, bomb, whatever) button scheme is a good idea considering I'm still early in and don't know what's going to be thrown at me, but God...I dunno. The game's awesome...I just wish something could be done about these controls. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #8 metalcasket, Jul 19, 2013 Oh yeah, for anyone doubting how good the game is, read these reviews of the PC version: http://www.impulsegamer.com/pcfreedomfall.html http://www.onlysp.com/freedom-fall-review/ http://operationrainfall.com/review-freedom-fall/ http://www.desura.com/games/freedom-fall/reviews Stirfire Studios...please, please, please look into adding a more traditional control scheme. In a game that requires precision, poor control quality can ruin the experience. I'd love to hear more feedback from people when they get a little further into the game. And what are all those parts you collect throughout the game used for? Is there a in-game shop or something? Jake7905 Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2013 1,004 0 0 #18 Jake7905, Jul 19, 2013 I have to agree with that last part, especially after playing XCOM. I haven't played this one yet and was wondering, how long did it take you to complete it? And what's your take on the controls? You can also buy bombs that are thrown to destroy golden obstacles, and can carry up to a maximum of five of those at a time. It took me around five or so minutes per level, so probably somewhere in the vicinity of an hour in total to complete the twelve levels in the game. The controls can be fiddly, but the PC version also has some issues in this regard. The game isn't anywhere near as unforgiving as something like Super Meat Boy, especially if you're wearing the double-jump wings. Shan82 Well-Known Member Apr 27, 2012 278 0 0 Songwriter.
