Ooh definitely looks interesting. Would there be a story to it? Or is it more of a endless/try to beat the high score-type of game?
the car seems a little big in comparison with the streetlamps and the zombies imo. looking good otherwise
Looks real good. I am also wondering if there will be missions or a story. Maybe something like picking up a person and driving them back to a safe zone. Kind of like last night episode of "Waliking Dead."
wow wow wow did u see that??? thousands of zombies on the screen in one time damn can't wait...estimated release date?
Looks good, except for the lack of an interface. Kinda bland with just the game rolling. Perhaps a counter and score multiplier would be good additions to liven up the screen a bit?
There will be both missions and sandbox type gameplay modes The vehicle in the first two pics is actually a stylish SUV, like the Toyota RSC. Which... yeah... is a big car You won't be taking down any skyscrapers with your car, but traffic lights, poles, lamps, kiosks, garbage cans, etc are fair game
You can turn off the interface for more realism, which we did for the screenshots and video since the GUI is not finalized yet...
This looks thoroughly entertaining, but I have two concerns: 1. The video is really dark. If the game is not brighter, I am hoping that there are at-least day and night cycles. 2. The car doesn't seem like it is bouncing enough when running over zombies. It should look more like you are driving offroad when you run down a zombie in a car, with the zombies being the obstacles that you have got to get over.
The video is really washed out because of the compression, but the screenshots are taken right from the web version of the game. That level is the destroyed city, which is at night and supposed to be very gloomy. There is also a normal city, night time city, industrial zone, and army base levels with various ambient lighting levels and effects. I'm not sure if you've ever hit a zombie with your car, but they are quite squishy when a 1800kg vehicle hits them at 80 km/h. Cars also have suspension and shock absorbers that smooth out the ride when you run over things (like zombie bits), but in the game if you are going too slow then it is harder to run over the zombies (they will start to surround you) or if you are going too fast then it is easy to go out of control or flip your vehicle (like the bus at the end of the video).
