Did you notice those are all runners? Anyways here's my list. Just like your list, but with a fifth one. Im still a little disappointed with this week's releases. Mini Dash Crumble Zone Infinity Run 3D Team Awesome Mercenary Ops
I cant believe people are disappointed in this weeks releases ! I bought about 8 games this week, best week in ages and i'm sure it'll get better as we're about to hit December
Jet Set Radio (can't believe I'm carrying it around in my pocket) Matchblocks (simple solid fun) Waking Dead: Assault (great controls on an unexpected great game) MiniDash (lovely little platformer with slider (unfortunately)) Vectrex (initially annoyed it didn't work on iPad1 but have put it on my new iPad and it is absolutely beautiful - Vector Scramble and Pole Position - I had no idea these existed - if you have an iCade you do really need this).
Matchblocks The past few weeks were quiet on the game front for me, but I'm enjoying my time with this one.
Yup, Mini Dash is for sure my winner. I just tried one of the 'hard' levels and holy crap I can't even imagine the amount of time it's going to take me to beat a few of them, let alone all of them. Love it!
Yeah, I really like Crumble Zone, but Mini Dash is awesome and at this point my GoTW and may have to change my top 10 of the year noms to include it. Incredible and original level design. Could end up being my favorite speed platformer on the iOS (if button controls were added in think it would lock that title). Think I'm liking it more than the LoE games as well as the Orangepixel games -- and that's some good company.
Pretty high praises! I'm kinda done with speed runners too..and Mikey Shorts is my current favorite. How does Mini Dash compare with Mikey Shorts?
Pretty hard to compare directly and I think that's why I like Mini Dash so much is that the level design is completely different and kind of insane. You sometimes have to stick and slide down sides - bit like Super Meat Boy. But even difficult to compare it to that. I'd say it's well worth the buck. Tons of content. Only downside is no button controls (tilt or slider only). But I still think the controls work very well. Still wouldn't mind an update to add buttons though.
