Hey guys. Got some news for you today. Starting out with this one (looks the coolest). Laminar Research (devs of X-Plane) have made a kick-butt app about giant fighting robots. Don't have too many details on this but I do know that it will be priced at $4.99 and it has been submitted. Some screenshots for your curiosity. Oh and BTW: Free updates for the other apps have also been submitted.
The idea of giant fighting robots appeals to me. If the robots are customizable, then I'll be onboard.
Ha... no, I didn't look at them too closely. Now that I do, I like what I see. I wish you had more details, though. Would love to know if you can also customise the chassis, legs, engines, and so forth. The 'shots only show weapon customisations.
I think there's an option for that. Based on a screenshot I posted. I dunno though. I have no details
Just got sent this from Austin. It's the new planes for X-Plane extreme and the customization screen in giant fighting robots: BTW arn, he says it's local multiplayer, just like in the other X-Planes.
Anyone want more pics? I have a few more here, not TOO different from the ones posted but a bit different..........
Looks like Young's Modulus is back. The old Young's Modulus site is now empty with a "coming soon" note: http://www.youngsmodulus.com/ For the curious, here's a Google cache: http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:CN588IiFMogJ:www.youngsmodulus.com/+young%27s+modulus&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=safari
Is the name really "Giant Fighting Robots"? I don't think I could take a game seriously under that name, it'd almost be like I'm expecting a pile of garbage.
It's mind-boggling to me that these devs can put so much time and creativity into the art and coding of the game, but they can't spend more than 10 seconds to think up a less generic title.
this one reminds me a movie of my childhood!!! the first big robot fight in this movie, achilles vs. alexander
