I'm really pretty miffed at the way PopCap/EA handled this. I owned Bejeweled 2 + Blitz, but deleted it off my iPod Touch for space reasons (knowing I could always redownload it).

When I read about what they were doing I had planned to redownload the old version. But they already took the old app completely off the app store, I can't re-download it and even if I wanted to play this, it's only 3GS and up. (And, yes, the old version is probably on my PC but I haven't been syncing due to errors).

Whatever the case, this was a BS move to divide this and Blitz. I'm sure some people will like the new retina display, but they surely didn't seem to be thinking of their past customers when they decided to do this.

At the very least PopCap/EA should have kept the old version available for a while.

There are so many things wrong with this release on so many levels I don't even know where to begin.

Does anybody even understand the differences between this and Bejeweled 2?..

It is similar to Bejeweled 3 in the computer. You have Retina display and mode game mode than BJ2.

I think it is not good to pulled BJ2 from store. But 0.99 for 3 is ok for me.

Then why not call it "3?" And as for price, we still don't know if this has IAP, do we?

Glad i re-downloaded the old one BJ2+blitz earlier today before they pulled it.

Phew, was worried for a second, i checked my purchased section on the app store, and bejeweled 2 + blitz was still there and can be downloaded, even though it's not available on the app store. Not buying this new app, the old one was good enough.

I don't know why. But for the graphics and gameplay it is very similar to 3.

Classic mode is same as before.
ZEN mode is ENDLESS.
GoldMine mode is digging down and try as fast as you can.

In the computer, you can unlock more modes and puzzle mode too. I think it is not included in this version (I just played few levels). I think it is easier to add in the future update.

Ok so the new standalone blitz app is second gen compatible but this is not? That's Ridiculous on many levels!
