Default Heroki – 2.5D Action/Adventure Platformer (Published by SEGA)

Hello TouchArcade audience,

We are Picomy, a young independent gamestudio and we would like to present our first upcoming game for iOS – Heroki.

We’ve been working on Heroki for almost 2 years now (still in development) and it’s our great pleasure to announce it here for the first time on TA:

We are very proud of where we currently are and we want to give you guys a little something in the form of this teaser trailer video. Hope you’ll enjoy it!

About Heroki:
Heroki is a young brave boy who’s chosen to save his village high above the sky. In search of the stolen magic element from his village, Heroki embarks a great adventure through several worlds full of exploration and great challenges.

The unique aspects of Heroki are the sense of freedom, its simple and effective "Flow Motion" controls and the many interactions within the worlds.

Little background story:
We’ve started this project in 2010 with the idea that our game should be as accessible as possible for everyone. For us that meant that controls was one of the most important things to get it done right. After lots of prototyping and tweaking, we came up with a new, innovative control scheme to play a platformer type of game that we call "Flow Motion Control" and we believe it turned out perfect. Once we had the controls/gameplay mechanics the way we wanted, ideas progressed naturally with console quallity results.

We’re not going into details about the controls just yet, but more information about the game will follow in this topic in the upcoming months!

Update 2/14

Heroki flies up in the air in front of his house in his sky village ‘Levantia’.

In Levantia, Heroki can interact and talk to all of the villagers.
In this shot you can see Heroki flying over a little boy. Notice their expression as they are looking to each other.

As the adventure begins, Heroki faces many different foes.
In this screenshot he’s in the first world attacking a big hungry croc!

In this screenshot of world 2, Heroki wants the treasure chest,
but he is in danger of being attacked by the surrounding enemies.

Update 5/8
As development is heavy in progress, we are proud to show you a small preview of Heroki in this off-screen footage!
This footage will introduce you to the world of Heroki by showing you parts of the gameplay and introduce you to the simple and unique control scheme. (*Note that this is still in an Alpha Build*)

I'm very curious to see some gameplay and screenshots! The trailer has pretty sweet graphics
I don't know why but the video reminded me Zack & Wiki on Wii.

Very colorful art style from what I can tell. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of this game in the future.

Very nice! But the poor birds. You should make the birds look more evil, so that people won't feel sad, when you smash them. They look too cute right now!

Very interested to see some gameplay. Glad to hear you've been trying to perfect the controls and make it easily accessible. I tend to be very finicky when it comes to control, so I'm excited to see what you've come up with.

^Same here but i'm nervous. I love platform games and i've got about 50 on my ipod, the basic button controls work fine, worried when someone comes up with some new fangled idea which lots of other companies who have done successful platforming games havent used. Hopefully theres an option.

Its a platform game so surely there should be onscreen buttons, hope its not tilt/swipe.

Love the look of this game from the trailer but want to see some proper games action and of course want to see the controls. Seen way too many control schemes ruin iOS games, nervous about this one !

Looks beautiful. I REALLY hope the control scheme is as beautiful as the video, though.
