Default RPG - Fantasy Chronicle (by Kemco)

Wow, another JRPG by Kemco out.
The folks at Kemco really working at top speed.
The game looks good and I liked the other games.

Looks great, but I'm worried about the shifty translation and the quest log screenshot-- makes it seem like a grindfest. I'll wait for impressions.

4th JRPG by these guys within the past few months, dang. Haven't spent enough time with Alphadia and SoE to know how diverse they. Never picked up EoG yet either. Can anyone comment on how their games are different?

Lol, I just opened a thread in the game discussion section just before I've read your post.
Alphadia seems to be a stand-alone JRPG. But Symphony of Eternity and Eve of the Genesis seem to be related.

Well, you can't compare Kemco's games to the Final Fantasy Saga, yet their games are solid and fun to play.
I might try this after I got deeper into Ash II.

That mysterious girl is not Retea btw!

I think that all their games are very different...I didn't like Alphadia as much because of the difficulty and loved Eve the best...Symphony is pretty good too.
I wish I had an android to try Grinsia as I heard that one is the best so far until this came out.

This is very fun so far I only just started but the translation seems good...although I havnt had access to the quest log yet.

Looks pretty good
Just 2 questions before I press the buy button
How does it look on the iPad on 2x as it is my primary gaming device and how does the battle system works(can't seem to find that by sanuku's video)
Is it like Ash 2?

Just tried it on my iPad2. Looks pixelated (obviously), but not bad -- similar to emulated SNES games. It helps that the character portrait are much higher resolution than the standard game screen.

The combat system is kind of like Ash's, but with a lot more depth, especially once you have multiple party members with Guardian Beasts. You have the standard attacks and special skills, but you also have to set tactics for your guardian, and you can combine abilities with another party member to create more powerful attacks. You can also switch party members, exchange guardians, set how many party members can attack, etc. One neat feature is that certain abilities become more powerful the more you use them.

Another difference from Ash is that the enemies are actually animated in the attack screen (the take swipes at you, grow tentacles, etc). The monster design is actually a highlight of the game.
