Default Train Defense V1.1 Update

I've uploaded update 1.1 of Train Defense to the appstore.

This now includes:

Flamethrower turrets - you can set enemies on fire. They will slowly burn to death. Freeze ray will douse the fire so you need to strategically manage your freeze turrets to keep them away from the flamer turrets.

Air Artillery Enemy - a new enemy appears at wave 6 - this air unit can fire artillery from out of range of freeze turrets, making it fairly deadly if you have used a wall-of-freeze defensive strategy. A few of these combined can take down a static tower very quickly.

- some fixes - a couple of achievements weren't registering reliably.

Update 1.1 has been submitted to AppStore. No idea at this time when it will come through, but here is a video of the new features.

Default Game Impressions

A solid TD game that adds different strategy and planning. This game is unique (IMO), you control your train that needs to defend the center tower. You get "power ups" via destroying enemies with the "power ups" attached. It is fun to play and entertaining to strategize which to attack.
Graphically very nice to look at, basic polygons and quick moving.
The down side I can see is the game does have some hiccups, meaning it get choppy when there are no enemies on screen.
Overall a solid TD game that offers uniqueness and differs itself from other TD games.

I think the choppiness might be when its registering achievements to Game Center. I'll address this in v1.2 (v1.1 was already submitted a while ago)
Thanks for the review.

hey guys. been a while so I thought I'd do an update.
Firstly, I've started working on a sequel. It will be more structured around missions and discovering and upgrading turrets. I'm porting it all to unity so I can port it quicker to other platforms like the Web, Android, Mac and Steam.
I may even explore a freemium model, though I think that sucks to have to do that...

I plan to keep doing updates to Train Defense #1 though and keep it as a simple survival sandbox like it is now. I hope to get out another update over the next couple of weeks. Main features being:
- an auto-save option - (so playing for hours is safer from memory crashes).
- some more tower upgrades
- some new turrets that will help make 'fire' a more viable strategy. Currently the ice strategies seem to be the only real way to survive long-term. I won't be nerfing anything, just adding more uberness to other strategies.

The mad one has held true to his word with the release of the v1.9 update!

-Emergency Saves: Basically the game now automatically saves at the end of each level so if the game were to rudely crash mid-play, you can always resume from the last pre-crash save.

-Towers Wheels: Towers can now have wheels added (as opposed to the extra armor reinforcement upgrade)! These are super slow moving and only in a straight line, but much nicer than nothing (or a punch in the face).

-Hellfire Missiles:These devastating missiles are the bane of any water bandit but can only track targets that are currently ON FIRE!

The greatest surreal Tower/Train Defense game is back, baby!

v1.12: Introduced the TANK (a mobile fortress with a powerful cannon and weapon slot to add any other weapon type you manage to scrounge up) and a silly POV camera to view action from your engine's perspective. Sadly, this update also made the game a bit unstable.

v1.13: All the above but much more stable now.
