escape from laville iPhone app

I have worked out the musical code in the machine where you put the dropper of blood but no matter how many times i put it in nothing happens i have now cheated and checked out a walkthrough website that confirms what i did but i am not getting any response. is this glitch or is there an additional trick i am not getting?
